West Hills College ADN Program 2022

Published

Hello Everyone! West Hills Nursing program applications will be opening up soon, so I decided to start this forum for 2022 application period. Anyone else applying? I applied last year but my application was thrown out due to not submitting CPR/BLS from AHA. If my calculations are correct I will be applying with 89.32 points. Good luck to everyone!

Hello,

Thanks for starting this! I am waiting to hear back from National today but don’t have a great feeling about it so I am sure I will be applying to WHC. I believe I will be applying with around 90.5 points.. praying this is my year and I finally can get into somewhere!

Good luck! I feel you, its so discouraging getting a denial, I was hoping to apply with 90.32 but I didn't qualify for that one extra point, hoping for the best this time around!!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for starting this! I will also be applying this year. I applied last year but had to give up my spot due to a personal emergency, but luckily it's resolved now. I will be applying with 92 points according to my calculations. Good luck to everyone ☺️

So glad everything got resolved and you are able to apply again. 92 points is great! You should have no problem getting in. They will be taking 24 this time and then the alternates. What were your points when you got in last time?

I had 92 points last time applying as well. Last time was very different because they accepted like 20 students only.

I thought they accepted 30? I'm feeling super nervous/discouraged already applying with 89.32☹️

They usually do but last year and this year she said they have had to shorten it because they don’t have enough staff for teaching. I know it is is so hard to not get discouraged.. but hopefully this is our year. Are you applying anywhere else?

Well you should be good with those points!

Yeah, they have had staffing issues for a while now. I know someone who got accepted *last* time around and they mentioned the same thing

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Can anyone help me how to count calculate cumulative GPA? English is my second language so I had to take some ESL classes in college before completing English 1A. Do I need to calculate ESL classes in the cumulative GPA?

I have a question, would WHC hold it against my application if I didn’t submit my CPR certification as a PDF? That’s the only form I didn’t submit as pdf. I was reading through the requirements & I didn’t see it say that the CPR certificate had to be a pdf.
