West Georgia Tech ASN program

Has anyone applied to west ga tech ASN program? I applied to the newnan campus for summer 2013. Does anyone know what an average gpa/teas score or competitive selection score is for those that were accepted to any of their campuses?

Okay... I'm extremely anxiety ridden about competitive selection... aug 1 I apply and here is how my grades stack up:

a&p 1 C (retaking this summer)

A&P 1L B (retaking)

A&p 2 B

A&p 2L A

Psyc C (retaking)

Alg B

Eng B

I am shooting for all A's this summer. Plus I'm retaking the teas. My psych grade is from way back when when I didn't much care about school. I think I was a little overwhelmed returning back to school after having my daughter so I think that is why I wasn't prepared for anatomy. Do you think I have a shot with all of the B's? I'm freaking out. I'm hoping I will have a decent chance due many students excited about the coweta campus and applying there. Our competitive selection process depends on the pool of grades and teas scores. Can someone ease my mind a bit?

Darton acceptance to graduation rate is low. Id go elsewhere

I am applying now for the Murphy Campus so deadline is June 1st. I have mostly Bs, 1 A, but I have As in medical micro, but it doesn't help for competitive selection. Have you taken the TEAS yet? I got a 78 but there's no time for me to take it again.

Can anyone tell me home to figure your score for west ga tech's nursing program?

you take your GPA say its 3.5 ....that is 35 pts. Then you take your TEAS score say 76 multiply by 60% (.6) thats 45.6 pts. Add the two together 35 + 45.6 = 80.6

At least that's how I did it. I could be wrong. I am applying for the Fall at Murphy Campus....so we will see.

I turned in my application for the Fall last week. I think they send us our scores the week of June 10 and we find out if we're accepted by the end of the month! :)

I thought we wouldnt find out until mid july....i am terrified. Do you know what other people are scoring on the TEAS? Good luck! I am on pins and needles until I hear something.

Gosh- I hope not mid-July. Did student affairs tell you that? I thought it takes them two weeks to evaluate the paperwork and scores. Then acceptance letters would go out two weeks later. The summer admission group seemed to find out within that same time frame. That will drive me crazy if we have to wait that long!

MMiller123- I called student affairs this morning and they said we should know no later than July 12!

svckxb01- I hope it really doesn't take that long. I don't know why we get a competitive score and then a decision. How do they not know after they do the scores? I'll let you know when I get anything in the mail. I hope we both get in....it'd be nice to kind of know someone. :)

I wonder if many people applied to the RN program considering, they make you have your CNA certification now? They just started that and it may of been a surprise to people. Has anyone heard how many applicants they had?
