Hello! I am considering West Coast University for the BSN program. I am having a difficult time finding anyone in the Fort Worth area that has even heard of this place. I want to know how the hospitals feel about this school. I've heard some places wont even hire from Dallas career colleges. I am a military spouse and have very limited time in one location. I want to be an oncology nurse but am very concerned about credits not transferring out of this school. Also, if the accreditation is from the west coast, will I get a job on the east coast? So many questions, so little time! Haha! Any other military members have any experience here?? Any WCU graduates here that can answer some more questions? :)
What are the night and weekend hours? And how long would it take if I started with just the other prerequisite besides sciences? Mine have expired.
That just depends on what they will accept for transfers. They have a list prereqs in the catalog on the website. I believe there are 2 or 3 that are mandatory to be taken from WCU. They transferred all of mine in. I need Chem, Stats, and Micro, in addition to the few they require. This puts me at 30 months to BSN
How much are they charging you ? My sciences have expired. So those won't be considered
It's hard to say how much you will pay out of pocket. That all depends on how many prerequisites you take at a community college and transfer in to West Coast. If you transfer them all into West Coast your price tag with WCU will be subjected to nursing classes only. I still had some classes left to take with WCU (Algebra and Stats, Humanities I'm going to transfer with Dallas County). I would definitely go to West Coast and talk to an advisor. They can give you more information and direct you on what you need to do in order to get all your classes done.

We graduate together yaaaayyyyyy!!! You ready?
The tentative scheduled hours for evening/weekend right now is M-F 6-11pm. Sa-Su (7a-5pm). This could change as this is a new offered program at night.
Thank you! i have an appointment today. I am hoping most of my classes transfer. I will let you know what they are charging me once I receive my transcript results.

Hey one question...do they still allow concurrent enrollment? do you have to start the pre req (@ DCCCD in this case) before WCU's semester starts or can you start it after as long as you finish it before the end of WCU's semester? Just wondered that.
