  1. So apparently this is another system I need to learn!!! Hahaha! I haven't been getting any notifications from this thread. I am now a WCU student and will be navigating my way through this craziness. :)
  2. Oh my goodness!!! Here we go!!! I am not ready actually the next 10 weeks are going to be CRAZY!! But after that I'll be ready. Hahaha!
  3. Also the nights are anywhere from 6-11pm and weekends I believe are any time between 7am-7pm
  4. That just depends on what they will accept for transfers. They have a list prereqs in the catalog on the website. I believe there are 2 or 3 that are mandatory to be taken from WCU. They transferred all of mine in. I need Chem, Stats, and Micro, in addition to the few they require. This puts me at 30 months to BSN
  5. Thanks for all of your advice! I went to orientation yesterday. Looks like I will be starting soon. :)
  6. Did you go to orientation yesterday? I think I'm going to be able to start 4/2 also. Just trying to figure out FA stuff right now.
  7. Thank you for your help! They did end up taking all my transfer credits. Now its just up to me to figure out my schedule.
  8. That's awesome! Congratulations! I am probably going to start the June 11 session. Night and weekend also. I started to look at TCU here in Fort Worth but they do not have a night and weekend option and I need to get this ball rolling! If I wasn't in class right now I would totally start 4/2.
  9. Hi! Yes they do have an evening and weekend program. This is the first semester they've done it (Starts 4/2/18). I turned in my application but I am nervous about driving all the way back from Dallas at 11pm then having to get up with my littles by 6am. And the idea of driving 2 hours in the dark/snow/rain... ugh! I wish it was closer to Fort Worth. I have an appointment with them this week to go over financial aid and talk to registar about classes that will transfer. Really that's going to make or break it. If they say I have to take even 1 class over again, I'm out. I can do that with WGU.
  10. Yes, childcare has been one of my biggest concerns, especially since my husband is active duty. I went to WCU today and I think it went pretty well. They have all my transcripts and are reviewing my financial aid available. The FA guy has worked with a lot of military and says that I should be able to finish my degree with very little amount in loans. I am assuming the majority of the loans I take out will be for childcare. I learned today that 61% of qualified students that enrolled actually graduate. This makes me soooooooooooo nervous!!
  11. I am definitely here until June 2020. I have most of my pre-reqs done, so if I had to stay here for 6 months to finish school while my husband moved to his new duty station I could probably make that work. I really appreciate all the info. I'm sure I'll have another question soon. Now I'm off to take an exam in A&P. I'll be happy to get some hands on experiences in the future. Memorizing, memorizing and more memorizing! Ha!
  12. I really appreciate your info! I have a 3.75 also, but it does scare me to think of being kicked out. I saw that there were some nursing support groups on FB and even online tutors. I am fortunate enough to stay home with my kids but because we move so frequently I do not have a huge support group. It is really hard now to get through A&P with a little person following me around the house asking a million questions all day! Due to limited time in TX and only going into Dallas one day a week, WCU is definitely appealing.
  13. So many questions!! Ha! I just took the TEAS and passed with 75%. Do they take that or do I need to study more and retake it? How hard are the classes? By hard I mean are they actually being taught or is it just some teacher reading power points and then you figure the rest out on your own? Do you happen to know any military members/ spouses in the program? I would love to get their opinion on the GI Bill process. Thanks again!! I really appreciate you!
  14. Thank you so much for getting back to me! It is so great to finally touch base with a student! I hear they kick people out a lot. Is that true? Also what is your schedule like? I am trying to figure out a way to go to nursing school while getting my littles to and from school.
  15. Thank you so much for getting back to me. There is so much to consider.
