Thanks to everyone who felt my pain when I posted last week that I got a rejection letter from my first choice school (lottery).
Well, today I got a letter from Shasta College in Redding saying I am #157 on their waitlist! They take two classes per year, fall and spring. It looks like I will probably get in early 2009, but things could change and I might get called sooner.
Anyhoo, I feel much better knowing I definitely have a back-up plan! I will still continue to take classes and apply again everywhere around here, but if I have to, I'll move to Redding and go to NS in their brand new, state-of-the-art health science building! YAY!
Cheers,
Vicky

:balloons:Well congratulations. At least now you know whats going on and that you have a future at the redding college. I can't believe how hard it is to get into the nursing program in CA. I give you and other pre-nursing students in Cali much props for waiting that long. Hope everything works out well and good luck!
Thanks very much Cherish! I know, it is absolutely crazy what we Californians have to go through... SIGH
Take care,

Hey Vicky,
Congrats!!! I know it sounds as if early '09 is a ways off, but believe me, it goes by way too fast!!! And like you said, you have other options. Good for you to continue working on your classes and looking to apply again. NEVER let 1 "no" bring you down. That just means that it wasn't your time to go to that particular NS. It definitely does not mean NO to nursing school in general!! Way to keep your chin up and look on the brighter side!! Blessings~
