New Aggie:I did not study before my Hesi one day before, all the other times I did and failed. The one time I actually listened to my teachers and did not crack open a book at all the day before, was the day I passed. Your brain needs a moment to marinade. Also, I recall that usually the day prior when you study your eyes rush over the words you read and you start to become confused, because you are not reading things carefully. You have studied hard for a while now. One day break only will do good for you. I wish you the best of luck.
I did cheat and look over some labs and last min notes on infection control....glad I did cuz I had like 7 of them of my test. But overall I allowed myself to relax...went to church, ate some fattening but delicious food, then went to a football game with my guy friends to watch them and I got rained on lol Not quite how I wanted to spend my day but I'm glad I didn't do an outright study day.
hey guys, i took my nclex-rn this afternoon (today's my birthday lol) stopped at 100 questions. rushed back home and tried the pearson vue trick and i got the infamous "pop up: our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.". i got really excited, but i'm still crossing my fingers, so i hope itll be good news soon. if so, this will be the best birthday present ever lol. good luck to all and god bless.
Happy Birthday and Congrats for your accomplishment!!!!!!
May I ask you too what kind of scores you got on Saunders lol. I am testing on the nineth and I felt all okay and all of the sudden I feel so unsure!!!! You dont have to share on here, please send me a PM or whatever. I would appreicate it greatly.
:nurse:Took my exam today August 31st, I felt real good about it! Did not study at all the first time in July, when it did not at 75 I had an anxiety attack, lol. Well I failed the first time. Today was a better experience. I think I took 185 questions, not real sure though. I got a ton of SATA, 3 Drop and Drags, and 2 fill in the blank med calculations. I know my very last question before turning off was answered correctly. I did the trick and got the pop up, which was not the case in July. This time I studied doing 100-300 questions a day. Bought every book I could, Saunders, Kaplan, Exam Cram, NCLEX for dummies, as well as the NCBN program on line. I honestly thing Exam Cram helped the most, oh and I used the free site for NCLEX 3500. So a couple days till I know for sure, but I'm pretty sure it will be positive. Just remember to have faith in God and yourself, everything happens for a reason, and you will come out on top. Good luck to future test takers, and God Bless.
Just took the test; I have a feeling like I didin't know anything and kept guessing; did the Pearson trick and got a pop-up that said "The candidate currently has an open registration for this exam. A new registration cannot be created at this time". What does it mean? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm testing 9/1, too. Good luck to you, and remember - when taking the test, stay calm and collected no matter what. Keep telling yourself "It's only a test"! Take your time with the questions, don't panic if you feel you don't know the answer - concentrate on eliminating the wrong answers first. Stay calm!
