I applied to Weiss and was turned away based on my answers to the "screening tool". I received a job offer from Rush and U of C, so I am not sure why Weiss did not like me. But that is all I know.

I have gone through the new grad program. Started there in 2008 and worked ICU and just recently quit. From my understanding they were not hiring new grads this year. But if there is a posting online maybe things have changed. Earlier this year there was a layoff and with the layoff the new grad program was cancelled for the year.

There was a posting in the Spring, a general call for the new grad program where you were supposed to apply to "any" Weiss nursing job to be considered for it, and then later there was a specific job posting for the new grad program that was up for just a few hours on 5/16 and then taken off the board - which means that certain people were told to apply at a specific time in order to separate them from the rest who applied. Who knows if the program is in process or cancelled since then. I saw it and thought I'd test it, for this "selective" posting I've been hearing about... I printed the actual page and still have a copy of it.

I also had an interview at weiss this month and they haven't called me back yet its been 8days hahaha i'm freaking out because i so want this job.

I know they have checked my references a few days ago which i have heard is a good sign.

Any info you have please pass it on.

Was it just the phone interview that you had or did you also interview with the manager? I had a phone interview a week ago & haven't heard anything since then. I am really getting anxious because I really want this job!

I had a phone interview Monday then she asked me to come in the next day so i did and now i'm waiting to hear whats going on. I so want this job also like i said they checked my references but haven;t called me yet.

Do they call either way do you think

Finally heard back from Weiss today, 9 days after my phone interview. I have an interview tomorrow with some of the managers. So excited & nervous. Apparently, they are still looking so don't give up hope everyone!!

I still haven't heard yet will be 10 days since my face to face interview tomorrow.. :confused:
