Hi all
Desperately trying to find an online 8 week microbiology class (preferably no prerequisite needed) for late fall towards November or December of this year (have a heavy course load at the moment), any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thank you so much for the explanation. I know, my friend had a VERY bad experience with college network this year. As for the alternatives you gave they sound great I will look into it but first need to clear with the school I'm transferring to, they are strict about what they do and do not accept.
Thanks again, much appreciated
Hey stash11, your are correct! Microbology is not listed yet......but keep checking because they are constantly adding courses to their website. A & P 1 without lab is what Excelsior will except for my ADN. If you are planning on transferring to another college they may require that a lab is taken along with A & P. $399 will only cover the cost of the course and it is a one time flat rate. Books and other study materials are not included. However, there is a 6 months time period to complete the course. " In others words you have 6 months to finish" I hope this is a help to you...:)
Thank you so much Anglan314, will look into and explain it to my academic advisor, as they had already said no first time 'cos it's not a college per se.
Thank you
American Public Intro to Microbiology
$750. 8 weeks. No prerequisites required. Regionally accredited. You might be able to pick up just this one course... it's worth asking.
Hey Stash11,Do you mind sharing what school you started for your micro? Thank you so much.
Hi Suzia
Please forgive me, I haven't been on for a while till a few days ago, and didn't really check my posts, again I apologize. I'm taking Micro at Edukan (http://www.edukan.org), Prof is great very helpful 24 hour turn around time for responses, labs are virtual, really cool, pm me, and I'll give you more info, plus tuition is only $625 glad I found it :-)
Good Luck

Whatever you do stay away from College Network and go directly through
Excelsior
or
http://www.istudysmart.com/showcourse.asp?list=25
The latter offers Micro by CD-rom or book version.
With both you study @ your own pace then when ready you go to a testing center like Pearson Vue and take the test. You only have one test equal to a comprehensive final. If you pass, you get college credit.
