Hi all
Desperately trying to find an online 8 week microbiology class (preferably no prerequisite needed) for late fall towards November or December of this year (have a heavy course load at the moment), any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Rio Salado if your finances allow.
Hi
thanks for responding, I tried them they require a prerequisite before I can take the class. And you are right, they are expensive only reason I would even take them is to reduce my course load at this time. I'll keep looking till I find something else
Thanks again

What about taking the excelsior exam for it? That's my plan.
Thank you so much for responding. Could you please explain how the Excelsior exam works? Is it an exam for microbiology? Do they offer it throughout the year? Looking for late fall or winter.

Straighterline is the way to go....Their price is reasonable and no prerequisites is required. Go to the straighterline.com and check out what they have to offer. I planned to start courses with them next month.

Straighterline has microbiology and many prerequisites for nursing. Its also self-paced and online.
What university/college do you want to transfer the microbiology?
Wow, looks good to me. One question though? Straighterline's classes, can you take and complete one class every month? does the $399 cover everything I'll need for a science course? Also, didn't see any microbiology class, are you sure they offer microbiology? Sorry so many questions :-)

Hi, I don't see microbiology anywhere on their website :-(
My school of choice is UT Houston :-)
I thought they had microbiology.
They have A&P I & II, Physics I & II, and Pharmacology I & II, but no microbiology.
GeauxNursing mentioned "taking the Excelsior exam" for microbiology. Did she get back to you about it?
University of Phoenix and Grand Canyon University will let you take individual courses.
Hey stash11, your are correct! Microbology is not listed yet......but keep checking because they are constantly adding courses to their website. A & P 1 without lab is what Excelsior will except for my ADN. If you are planning on transferring to another college they may require that a lab is taken along with A & P. $399 will only cover the cost of the course and it is a one time flat rate. Books and other study materials are not included. However, there is a 6 months time period to complete the course. " In others words you have 6 months to finish" I hope this is a help to you...:)
