So let's set some goals for the next week. The above stretch is one of my favorites. It stretches all the big muscles and isn't nearly as uncomfortable as it looks. Though I suggest you go slowly at first and look up different variations of the pigeon pose to find the modification that is best for you.

I will work 6 days out of 7 this week (getting old for this crap) doesn't leave me a lot of time but I am in the push towards retirement. It been pretty hot in Cali this past week so my husband hooked up the patio misters and we got our fountain running which adds a certain peaceful tranquility to the back yard. Will fire up the BBQ later and cook some tri-tip and roasted veggies.

We are in the process of xero-scaping the front yard to reduce water usage and it's starting to look pretty nice. Hoping it will cool down enough to start walking in the evenings. So since this is my long work week I am setting my step goals at 3500 per day. Also have a goal to keep my blood sugar below 200. It always seems to go up after my evening meal even with the insulin, glipizide and metformin. My Dr. believes this is stress mediated and that I should relax more (Ha. Ha, Ha)

So how about it what are your goals?

Feel free to post recipe's, exercise tips and meditations. Please remember to play nice as people will have different ideas about diet, exercise lifestyle etc... It's OK to debate the various merits/problems with each as long as we are respectful to each other.

Since it appears to be a major source of stress please let's stay away from politics. I will redirect political discussions to the Politics group.

@hppygr8ful, I could probably try the pose, but unsure if I could un-try once in the position ... if you know what I mean. LOL!

Still unable to get fresh vegetables in my area. Limited on several other foods, too. But, I'm cooking properly.

I am diabetic, too. But, have frequent crashes, so been doing my best about what I can eat and how often (at least 6 times/day). I have hypoglycemic unawareness and my physician is keeping my readings on the higher side.

Enjoy that BBQ!!

My son fights MMA and is very flexible for a big guy - He has had to un-pretzel me on more that one occasion. I have pretty wild swings in my blood sugar at times.

Interesting group to join. Yes, C19 has been stressful but I started megace in May. Major side effect is wgt gain from increased appetite. I mean I want to eat the wallpaper!!

I am a BIG GIRL! I can't afford any wgt gain esp with a propensity for other health issues.

Have been struggling soooooo hard to keep wgt from upping. Am achieving a slooooow decline, but it's a struggle.

I'll take all the support I can get. Holding good thoughts for y'all too.

hppy - what's MMA?

MMA = Mixed Martial Arts. I used to be able to spar with him to a degree but the Fibro pain has gotten pretty bad. Thinking of trying pharmaceutical grade CBD oil.

You would have to see the steps to get in the position but the left leg is crossed in front while the right leg is stretched out and the upper torso goes forward.

I've gotten into the habit on morning shift of leaving the building and going for a walk around the block. It takes me about 30 minutes, (I get 40 minutes for lunch) but dam it makes me feel good, especially if its been a madly busy day

I don't think I posted yesterday. It was my day off and I spent most of it sitting in the dentist office waiting while my 18 y/o had dental surgery. All 4 wisdoms and an incisor that he broke fighting MMA pulled and an implant stud put in for the incisor. Poor could only eat milk shakes yesterday it on soup today.

Still a managed to get 4266 steps in.

Today I beat my own personal best so far with 8678 steps.

What are your goals?
