Tweety glad the meeting with the legal team went well

Ado sounds like you have a lot of musical talent

Stars glad you weren't hurt bad in your fall

NJ22 that is some wild weather

Dianah glad the phone fix proved easy

The computer transition did not go well, and multiple systems were not working. Thankfully I was able to have coworkers move tasks that could be moved and do the ones that couldn't.  Thankfully there wasn't a lot of tasks.  By the end of the day they had gotten some working, but the 2 programs I need the most were still acting up.  Hopefully they can get those fixed today

Was surprised that I managed to stay pretty calm, normally computer issues drive me up the wall, especially if they affect my work

After work did the grocery shopping, paid a bill, and did the rest of the Christmas wrapping

What happens today depends upon what happens with my computer.  Nothing really going on after work except exercise

Will be considerably warmer today, up to about 40

Joe, sorry about the computer woes. Ugh. Hoping all is fixed today.

I don't really have that much talent but I really enjoy making music so I'm glad I have opportunities to do it.

The hospital Christmas party was last night and was fun. But I was home by 7:30.

Yesterday afternoon Hubs sent this picture to me, saying he had gone out to the garage for a few minutes and this is what he found when he went back in the house:

He was able to solder the wires and restore the tree to its original state.

Kittens.

That is hilarious, Ado !  Naughty little kitties  😂 Hopefully your hubby wasn't too upset.  I had the same thing happen years ago - my cats knocked over my little artificial tree, and scattered ornaments all over the living room.  But they had fun, I'm sure !

Oh Ado, SMH!  We have not put up a tree for many years, due to the felines!!  I'm glad your dh got the lights and all working again!  It is good for the soul for one to enjoy music, whether doing or listening.

Joe, I hope the computer behaves itself today.

Didn't sleep well last night, so slept in some.  After lunch I will do grocery shopping and probably mail a package.  I want to bake another Cranberry-Orange Breakfast Cake, as dh loved the last one!

Have a good afternoon and evening!

I put on my right wrist brace for the night and it seems to have helped a good bit, along with the Tylenol, an arthritis med the name of which escapes me at present, and a muscle relaxer. Now I don't have the constant ache in my right wrist that I had last night! And amazingly, NO bruises! Phew!

Had to 'dig Nannie out' before she went to bed last night. She has had good, regular BM's for a few months now, and I am spoiled because when she doesn't say, "I can't get it out", my 'work' is done.  But last night it was like two big, elongated, oval tennis balls. And I'd say, "Scoot forward on the toilet seat"or "lean to the front and PUSH DOWN! So, instead, she leans BACK and crushes my sore wrist! OUCH! I have to say her results were not as big as the former/previous corn cobs! 🤣 But still..... OH, and I found out she CAN say either "Number one". or "Number two"; I don't know why I didn't think about that before now! Trying to get her to admit to "BM" or "poop".....she just can't form her mouth correctly to say either of those words. Usually she makes wierd gestures with her hands, which don't actually portend any coming "event" and don't make sense for what she is TRYING to indicate.......

Anyway, I have to leave off any more posting because I have 30 minutes to go get her from the daycare place and bring her home. 😢 Not looking forward to the evening, but it's about to get here, and there is no stopping it! Oh Well, Too Bad, So What! Twoooo-morrowhiz anutha day, and CG will be here all afternoon.

Oh, PS, I went and had my five LifeLine Screenings and the tech said she didn't think I had anything to worry about because the tests look pretty good. Of course, I won't get the written (and sort of illustrated) conclusion for at least 10 days; they have docs that review the 5 test results and send them to me and to my primary doc. Not bad for $153, for carotid artery and abdominal ultrasound, checking bone density, and, and, and......several other things. Oh gosh what a brain......They forgot to check for my brain!

Gotta dash!

No Stars, good that the brace, Tylenol, and muscle relaxant helped your wrist!  I hope the evening is drama-free, and (as much as one can expect) of a low-irritancy scale!

I mailed the package to oldest ds, it should arrive before Christmas (fingers crossed).  Good I didn't wait any longer to mail it!  I am still waiting for two items to arrive, will send them along when they get here.  Then I got supplements at the HFS, gas in the car, and groceries.  I want to make a tomato-basil soup, so got cans of tomato for that.  The cranberry-orange "breakfast cake" is in the oven, and dh is feeding the felines.  We will soon have supper.  I will probably make the soup tomorrow, plus do some cleaning and maybe laundry.  We'll see how the spirit moves me!

Have a good evening!

Good evening!

Cats and Christmas trees, I love seeing the Instagram reels about them.

Today I was a "free charge'.  Our manager had to fight for it though.  They see a "free charge" and decide that's an extra nurse.  Other floors had a free charge, but we have no Assistant Manager to help and we're the only floor with two units.  So I have to juggle 36 patients and 7 nurses.  It's hard when I'm not free.  Okay, there's my rant.  I remember of course times having six patients and being in charge.

We have our tree in our little office, just off the living room on the other side of french doors to keep the dogs from eating the ornaments. Last year we had a fence around it, but I got rid of the fence. Kitties love trees.

We had lots of heavy rain last night, but today was partly sunny. The river is supposed to reach minor flood status, so no homes or businesses should get flooded. I hope this is the last of this system.

Dh went to get groceries and said there were no turkeys. Hmm. I suppose that makes them cheaper if you can't buy one.

While I was walking the dogs, I passed a couple with a black lab on a leash, and from a distance, it looked like the man was carrying a puppy. When I got close, I realized it was an infant, in a one piece, fleece suit, with a hood that had bear ears on top. Oh my, he was so cute! It wasn't a dog puppy, it was a human pup!

We made some cherry almond cookies last night. They're not bad, but they were a lot of work and only made like 18. I don't think we'll make those to give away.

We're going to youngest grandson's holiday concert tonight, and then probable stop for a burger. He plays the clarinet in his high school band.

We got to see the slow parade of fire engines, lights flashing, followed by a truck pulling Santa's sleigh!  It's an annual event, and they drive slowly, sirens on, through the streets of the community.  It's always exciting to see!

When we lived in Indiana, the volunteer fire department for our township had Santa on a firetruck make the rounds each year, giving candy to kids who went out to meet him. That was fun with little ones.
