Tweety glad you finally tested positive

Stars agree that boring isn't necessarily bad, can just mean things are going OK

NJ22 sorry to hear about the car.  A lot to deal with in addition to the pacer upgrade.  Glad your sister is feeling better

Dianah I can understand feeling a bit ragged when playing in hot and humid weather

Thanks everyone for the experiences with colonoscopies, I feel a lot calmer now.

Though my calm evaporated again after work.  The work day went fine, but at the  end of the day I offered to help a coworker.  He said yes but went on a rant about how bad things are and how the company is going under.  He tends to be very negative, but having experienced lay off with 2 of my last 3 jobs it got my anxiety going

For the first time in a long time I tried a little wine after work to calm down, it helped a bit but only briefly.  Practicing knitting and  talking to J helped more, by the end of the day I was calm again.  But I will look into making a few more updates to the resume, just in case

J is still a bit under the weather with what he  thinks is sinusitis.  I suggested he  try a Covid test, even though he doesn't have all the symptoms.  He said he'd think about it, but that he always tests negative.  We'll see

Sleep was bit erratic last night, woke up at least once or twice and had odd dreams.  Wonder if it was the wine

Today have shopping  after work, otherwise should be a quiet day

Will be a bit warmer today, up to the  mid 80s

Good morning!

Joe, sorry to hear about the anxiety kicking in.  Hope you have a better day.

J22, sorry to hear about the car.  Glad your sister is feeling better.

Dianah, glad you found the cat fud (my spellcheck doesn't like that word...LOL).  We've had some supply chain issues here with cat food.  I notice sometimes my dog's food is in short supply and I try to buy some whenever I see it.  I have a good supply.

I had my own anxiety issues at 3AM and was very restless.  Gave in an took 1/2 a clonazepam and calmed myself down after 30 minutes and fell asleep for three more hours and am now groggy.

There was vomit on my side of the bed.  Delicate dog has been okay mostly since I adjusted his food but must have been upset after the car ride.  He ate well this AM.

Got housework and meal prep, and will go to the gym and grocery store.  Normal day.

Elvis was a good movie but long.

Yup, the anxiety bug seems to be in the air, or the stars, or the moon, or something. I was so tired yesterday, but couldn't get to sleep. And I have a few mosquito bites that will just not go away and the itch is worse at night. I was taking claritin that helped, but ran out. I finally took a benedryl last night at midnight. That helped, but I still didn't sleep well, and now I'm groggy.

NoStars, that sounds challenging dealing with Nannie. Hopefully she doesn't fight with you about hygiene.

Dianah, no wonder you are wiped out! We haven't had an issue with dogfood, but dh's company sells quite a bit and between their 7 stores we can find what Angus eats. "Cat fud" reminds me of that old Far Side cartoon where the dog is trying to lure the cat into the dryer with a sign that reads "Cat Fud."

Another relatively cool day here, sitting at work without a lot to do, just waiting on lab results. Youngest ds is going to go down to the towing company to see if there is anything to retrieve from our wrecked car. When I got home last night we looked at the skid marks on the street and sidewalk. The car was pushed about 50 feet, over a curb and sidewalk and pushed over 2 decent-sized hedge trees. And the passenger said they were going the speed limit (25mph). Sure they were. I wonder if the gas pedal got jammed with as far as the car was pushed. Apparently the drive had a sore ankle and bloody nose. I hope his injuries aren't too bad. He's in enough trouble with driving without insurance and wrecking 2 cars (his and ours).

Yes, nursej22, we got the term from that Far Side comic!  ?

I should have taken something before going to bed last night, as I was awake from probably 3-6ish.  Oh well.

Today we get the RV out.

J22 sorry about your car. It must have been hit hard.

The moon looks full. Is that contributing to everyone's anxiety? I'm actually doing alright the last few days even with worrying about stepson. There's not much I can do and his sister still thinks he might be OK so I don't dwell on it too much. Facing an Aug 15 deadline to have some infection control stuff in the NHSN database for CMS. I think I finished it up today but need to verify that all the t's are crossed, etc. I'm also getting to field all the patient complaints. There are not a lot of them (given our census, I should hope not). But some of them leave me shaking my head.

We have some cooler temps and rain in the forecast. Good thing, too. We have a fissure out in the yard because it has been so hot and dry.

Goodnight, all! Hope you rest well.
