Was a nice quiet day at work, nothing unexpected.  Had time to get the laundry started before lunch

After lunch decided to do some of the grocery shopping, so I would have less to do today.  Didn't quite get it done before the rain, although it rained pretty lightly here, at least at first.  Rest of the evening was quiet, exercised and relaxed

Today will do the remainder of the grocery shopping after work.  Will try that indoor pickleball game again, hopefully there will be people there this time

Will be a bit cooler today, in the upper 60s

SiL came over to shower and dress Nannie and took her over to their house. No poop for SiL to clean up. I showed her the photos I took of Nannie's floor with all the poop all over the place. YIKES!

Anyway, I have to go out and pick up a refill at the pharmacy, and just a few things from the grocery section. I doubt I will do any picking up or cleaning today. I did wake up at 10 AM and thought I might get up then and 'do' stuff, but instead I went back to sleep for 2 more hours.

I tried to call customer service on my Care Credit card, but the # that they gave for Cuss the Services only yielded SIX offers for products: "Press 1 NOW to get ..." .....and no person to talk to. Real good service they provide where you can't get through at all to talk to anyone! I feel a complaint letter coming on!

Okay, it'll soon be time for shift change and school letting out, so I better get on with things so I don't get too much of the traffic snarls.

Joe, pickleball, as I mentioned, is SO big here, it is difficult to wrap my mind around the fact that you have yet to find anyone playing it there!  I hope you can soon find ppl playing, and see if it's something you would like.

Tweety, thanks for the bowling update!  Sometimes I get a little mixed up on what day it is, so I ask on the wrong day! 

No Stars, I hope your "time off" from Nannie is fruitful.  Yah, quite irritating to get sales messages when all you need to do is TALK with a person!  Highly aggravating! 

Didn't sleep well at all, just couldn't get to sleep till after 5:30.  But I got a few hours in after that.  One would think, since we walked at Disneyland on Monday, and then I walked with friends on Tuesday, that I would be pert near tarred out, enough to sleep!!  Oh well.  This too shall pass.

Hello, a warm, sunny day here. Yesterday was sun, rain, wind, hail, rinse and repeat. I returned some food to the grocery store that I purchased Monday due to mold. I don't normally do that, but it wasn't cheap and I wanted to ask them to remove any more that may have been on the shelf. I took the dogs along and then walked in a local park, admiring the blooming magnolias. Today I was volunteering at the demo garden, and we had to move 6 large rose bushes in prep for laying new water line. We were pretty brutal, so I hope the bushes survive. It was allow for easier, more efficient watering eventually, but it was a lot of work. I am going to go twice a week to carry water in buckets to promote survival. I just finished my lunch and am going to work on my own flowers. 

Gad, I hope I don't get to the state when my children are cleaning up my incontinence. 

dh tried to buy new decking at a big box home improvement store. They didn't have the  correct type, but the store couldn't order it; dh was directed to go home and do so, but couldn't do it online, and customer service never picked up. He was not happy. He's going to a local, though slightly more expensive store today to get it. 

Dianah, you are really having a rough go at regular sleep. I hope this passes soon for you.

G'day!

Dianah, seems like a lot of sleeping woes.   Hope it gets better.  Good thing you're retired, but you still have stuff to do.

Today was my overtime day and I worked the floor with an orientee, so I get to claim "preceptor differential" which I think is 75 cent and hour.  Meh.  It was busy but we lucked out and two admissions coming our way didn't come until next shift.  

Here's something petty.  My Asst. Manager gave us each a marker to put on our badge to use on the white boards.  I actually like mine.  She got a new supply and she was passing them out.  I said I'd take one because I like it.  She said "you have one, let me know when it runs dry" but yet gave two out to another nurse that had one. Really, it's petty, but speaks volumes of what she might think of me as a person.  Really?  Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Back to tomorrow to work my usual shift.  We're two RNs short and I will have a full assignment.  Not looking forward to that.
