Stars hope you're feeling better today, that was good that she came over yesterday to give you some relief

NJ22 that is frustrating, especially given how slow the IRS is to respond to things, hope you get it resolved soon

Work turned out to be crazier than expected, had to leave some stuff for today to get the rest of the stuff done. Did managed to get laundry done during lunch. Thankfully I think today will be a quieter day, although starting tomorrow we have someone off for a couple days

After work went with the gay group to a Mexican restaurant, was pretty good, food was spicy but not too spicy.  Somewhat smaller group than usually attends these things

Today the over 50 group has an event at a restaurant south of here, will leave for that shortly after work.  Might try and do grocery shopping on the way home, we'll see if I have time or need to wait until tomorrow.

Will be a colder day today, in the upper 40s, though warmer the rest of the week

Brr, Joe. That sounds chilly. Hope the dinner is a good time.

Stars, I use the Libby app to borrow ebooks from my local public library that I read on my phone. Like dianah said, you gotta keep reading. And posting here with us 🙂

For another $1200 we can have a new heat treatment ... ugh. I've arranged a one-night stay for the pets at the vet and now need to arrange a motel room for us.

We're forecasted to have storms and rain starting tonight and going through Sunday.

Can't remember if I said that I think Binx has a fracture in his tail, about 2 inches from his body. It's deformed and tender. I told the vet's office about it when I arranged boarding ... I don't suppose there's anything to do for it but let it heal. I don't know what happened but he's always trying to run outside when the door is opened. Maybe one of us caught his tail in the door?

Hello all!

Awww, poor Binx!  And, what is the heat treatment for?  I missed that...

Joe, glad the Mexican food was good!  I LOVE good Mexican food!   Enjoy tonight's outing!

Tweety, hang in there, working OT!

We had a very nice jam on Sunday afternoon, held outside under a large canopy, on the lawn of the apple farm (store with apple and other goodies, and BBQ just steps away).  It was a beautiful day, and probably 20 ppl showed up for the jam, it was a lot of fun!  Then we had dinner with friends, had a nice natter.

Monday dh and I dressed dapper and went to Disneyland.  It was supposed to hit 67, partly cloudy in the morning, clearing by afternoon.  Well, it stayed cloudy all day, and even drizzled (very lightly) in the late afternoon!  Temp around 62.  But it was very nice for walking around, and we caught our favorite bands, and rode the Mark Twain, and even rode the Radiator Springs (Cars) ride!  THAT was fun, I'd forgotten how fun it was, whooshing around in the car, a few big drops for excitement!

We had reservations for dinner, at a restaurant in California Adventure, but around 4, dh decided he wanted to see if we could score a table at Blue Bayou, in Disneyland.  Yes, they were able to seat us!  So we cancelled the other reservation, and happened to get a table right next to the water, where we could watch the boats go by as ppl embarked on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.  Which broke down just after we were seated, so no more boats went by other than the first 5 minutes!  Oh well!  Food was good, and then we walked around some more, ending up at California Adventure, walking some more there.  Caught one song of a live rock band there, part of the Food and Wine Festival (which ended the next day, it usually goes for a month or so).  Caught one song of the jazz group we like, who ended their set early due to the drizzle (it's not good for the instruments).

Yesterday was Recovery Day!  We were both pretty tired, so rested most of the day.  I did some exercises in the evening.

We don't have much planned for today.  Sunday we will attend a Hymn Sing, up at Oak Glen.  We bring instruments and play along; our fiddler plays piano for the hymn singers.  We are usually asked to do a couple of band songs, so we will prepare for that this week.

Have a good day!

I echo Dianah, poor Binx! we used to have a yellow lab that used to "break" her tail. I think it was a subluxation/dislocation of the joint near the base of her tail. She would go for a few days, unable to wag her tail. There's nothing sadder than a Lab that can't wag! I'm convinced that's how they laugh.

Ooh, Mexican food sounds good. And I know it doesn't have to be spicy, to be flavorful. We used to go to a place in Pomona,CA near the track when eldest ds was involved in racing. They had the best Mexican food I've ever had.

I did finally talk to the IRS, and we were fined for not withholding enough for taxes. So, I've paid that, and fixed the withholding for the coming year, I hope. Youngest ds had car trouble. I let him take my car to work, and I've arranged for AAA to tow it to the mechanic. It's always something. We did well at online Trivia, the picture category was about flowers, so that was easy. And the sound round was about the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and I had read bout them previously, so we did well on that too.

Dianah, that sounds like a lovely day at Disney. We ate at the Blue Lagoon once, and unfortunately, the food was not good. Oh, well, must have been a bad day in the kitchen.

It's overcast and drizzly here. Rain is forecast for the next 5 days. We need it, but I dislike the gray days. I plan to go for a walk after dinner.

Last night's bedtime was disappointing because Momo had peed on my comforter, which had oozed down to the mattress. I have to get one of those water (pee) proof sheets ASAP! I was kinda mad about Momo always peeing on the bed and the sofa, but at least she pees on the chux I keep on the sofa seat. So, anyway, I changed the bed because I had no choice! I grumbled a whole lot!

Quiet day today. I woke up at 10:30, but lay back down on the bed----next thing I knew it was 1 PM! Threw my clothes on and went to get Nannie up, but she was already up in the recliner. BiL came over to mow the lawn. He came inside a couple of times and Nannie didn't have a clue who he was....even when I told her he was her youngest son, even when I told her he was married to SiL but then I had to tell describe her and tell her who SiL was. She didn't even remember going over to their house, ever.

So, all I really did today was wash my bedding, and for supper I chose to throw some fish'n'chips into the oven, and chopped spinach in the microwave.

We have now got Nannie's meds prepackaged by the pharmacy. So I don't have to fill a mediset for her anymore, which is nice.

I don't have much to say; still feeling kind of funky-blah.

I never knew you could be fined for not withholding enough taxes. I thought regardless you could pay at the end of the year (or quarterly for the self-employed) but I know nothing.

One of my dogs broke his tail when he was a puppy and it stayed deformed his whole life.
