I am going to call them this afternoon to get some info - just wondering if anyone here has ANY info they can share.
Also I've taken just about all of my pre-reqs at TCC, those will all transfer to Weatherford College wont they?

What kind of information are you looking for? I've applied there twice and gotten in twice but haven't been able to take my spots for personal reasons; I can give you as much information as possible.
I know all my pre-reqs that I took at TCC were going to transfer to Weatherford.

Wow - great job getting accepted 2x.
Lets see... I guess what I'm looking for is -
- Is it as difficult to get into as TCC?
- What's the total cost like?
- Are their pre-reqs pretty much the same as TCC (will I have to take any other pre-reqs there)?
Thats all I can think to ask at the moment.

Thank you for the congrats, I was excited both times but then life happened and I couldn't take my spots, maybe it just wasn't the right time, I plan to apply to them again after I'm finish retaking these 3 classes.
It's not as difficult to get into as TCC, it's just that there are so many people that apply that if you don't get your application on the very first day they open their application period, you will have a problem getting in.
The total cost question I can't answer I'm sorry.
The pre-reqs they don't require as many as TCC, as for taking any other pre-reqs there you shouldn't have too as long as you have everything for TCC you'll be fine, you can check their website www.wc.edu and it'll tell which pre-reqs they require
Then definitely call them because they will mail you their application packet which has more in depth information I've given you the basics that I remember from when I applied I hope this helped you.
Good Luck!! :nuke:
You rock!!! Thanks for all the info!
I just called and they are emailing me an info packet.
Good luck to you on getting in again.
Well I'm waiting, waiting, waiting. I thought she was going to email it right then. I'm hoping she didnt spell my email wrong and its not going through. I am really anxious to look over the info.
I guess if I dont get it by tomorrow, I'll call again and request another one.

maybe there is just a delay in the email, I'm sure it'll come soon enough but if not then definitely call and request another one.

Hi~ Just thought I would chime in...I am starting the spring 2009 ADN program at Weatherford and thought I would throw some info your way. The required classes are the same as TCC. I took all of my classes at TCC and then applied at Weatherford. Also, the cost of attendance for in-county is approx $4500 and out-of-county is about $6k....not too bad in my opinion. The info on the program isn't available on their website...you will have to have it emailed to you. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. I attended the orientation about a month ago so I may be able to help with your questions.
Good Luck!

The emailed info finally arrived in my in-box and it answered the questions I had so far.
I saw that have to register with WC before apply for their nursing program, so I filled out the online registration form, and I submitted a request for TCC to send my transcript to WC. I guess I just wait now right - will they call me or something once I'm registered in their website. I guess THEN I can apply for their nursing program.
Oh, I just thought of a question. The THEA they mention, is that the same as the Accuplacer I took at TCC? I failed the math portion and plan on re-taking it again very soon.

I was wondering how many points you have to have to get into the Weatherford ADN program. I took the TEAS, and depending on which one of my math classes they will look at, I will either have 18 or 20 points out of the total 26. Could anyone tell me how many points they had when they were accepted into the program?
Hi! The first time that I applied the point scale was different. The total possible was 18 points and I had 16. I was an alternate at that time. When I reapplied, I had 23 out of 26 points and was accepted. It is based on the pool of applicants that apply and how you rank among them. I have heard from each semester that a lot of times it will come down to right before the semester starts and they are calling alternates to fill spots. Best of luck to you!
