Hi just wanted to start new thread of anyone applying for the ADN May-July for admission into spring 2015 at Weathford College Main Campus. Lets support each other and help each other with any questions or concerns. How many points are y'all applying with? Does anyone know how many students they accept? When will we notified of acceptance or rejection?
I have 36 points (well as soon as summer I classes are posted) and I am thinking I am going to retake the TEAS before the deadline to try to get a couple more points. I wasn't overly impressed with my TEAS scores and I think I can get another point or two at least.
I would feel more comfortable with a little more wiggle room being as there isn't a spring class for the Wise county campus sooo that means less spots available (I applied to both campuses for the fall...on a long shot since I was still working on A&P and micro at the time)
Not sure if it's only available to current wc students but if you are taking the TEAS you can sign up through the success connection for "my skills tutor" and it has practice tests and helps you know what you need to work on. If you look on the website on the success connection page it tells about it. I'll post a link when I get on the computer later. I just went and got signed up today and intend to practice the next couple of weeks and retake the TEAS closer to the application deadline

You have to have atleast 15 hours from this selection of classes to get 3 BSN track points.....and at least 25 to get 4 BSN track points. If I understand right you have to have taken a visual or performing arts AND humanities to get the BSN points too. I didn't get them last time I applied (for the Fall) because I hadnt taken a visual arts yet (I am taking art appreciation in summer one so it will count for my application). I applied for the fall before I had finished A&P II and MICRO soooo I didn't have enough points but Hopefully I will be sitting good for the fall. I am still debating taking the TEAS again to try for a couple more points...but not sure yet. I need to hurry up and decide
Three bonus points will be given for completion of 15 or more hours towards the BSN-track courses with a “C” or better and four bonus points will be given for completion of 25 or more hours towards the BSN-track courses with a “C” or better: ENGL 1302, HIST 1301, HIST 1302, GOVT 2305, GOVT 2306, MATH 1314, MATH 1342, SPCH X3XX, CHEM X4XX, KINE X1XX, BIOL 1322, Humanities, or Visual/Performing Arts.
