i went throught the program, and let me just say that you need to prepare yourself for a very gruelling year. it was definitely more intense and difficult than my lvn to rn bridge program. i do have to say that i learned a lot, they taught me extremely well. you will have to work hard. listen to your instructors and remember...do as they say, if you want to remain in the program. do all your assignments on time. never be late for a test. and above all, study, study, study. good luck!

Good luck to you! I just finished my lvn program and took my boards this weekend and passed! Before you know it, ill be over. Stay focused and don't give up!

I am also applying for the WC LVN program....what kind of points does one need to apply/get into the program?

AmyRMA I had nine points and was an alternate but just got called for an opening for the fall program so now Ill start in august....but it just depend on the year this year it was 10points made it safe and 9's were alternates I would check with Karen Long...they also have a spring entry now also I hope this helps a bit..good luck!

i am also looking into the lvn program at weatherford and was wondering if you could help me out.

what is the point sytem that they use/how are the points earned?

and what are the pre-req's?

Pamela- there are no prereqs for the lvn program in weatherford, however, AP1 and AP2 and the health course given at that college will give you points if you have a B or higher. You also get points your college gpa and the number of hours. The only test you have to take is the lvn compass math and reading the math is just basic math like percents fractions etc. The compass is also what gives you the points the total you can get on the compass is 6points, i think. I would definitely ask Karen Long to email you the packet it will show all of the points you can recieve and how you can recieve them. I hope this helps!Good Luck!!
