Hello...I am going to be applying for the LVN program.....I just learned of the point system.....Can someone please tell me what is the least amount of points someone has been accepted with?
I am very fortunate- I landed a LVN job at Cook Children's and am curently working on my LVN-RN.
Weatherford is a pretty awesome LVN program- even if it is not your ultimate goal, it is a great stepping stone to RN. I feel very prepared in my RN courses right now because of the education I got at Weatherford.
Good luck!!!! Feel free to ask any other questions :-)
No.
There are 3 clinical group areas: Weatherford, Decatur, and Stephenville. In the first semster the class will fill out forms indicating thier preferences, but it isnt guaranteed. You may end up driving farther than you would like-like an hour each way.
Nothing about nursing school is convenient LOL

Oh wow!!! Well I'm already going to be making about a 40 minute commute so hopefully they try and accommodate my commute lol. I've heard so many good things about Weatherford so I am very excited!
What can we expect from Orientation?
Orientation morning is kinda frazzled.... I feel like it could be set up diffently. But after that, you will hear from current students who are about to graduate. They will be speaking to you guys and then you have chances tp ask everyone questions about the program. You will also meet your future potential clinical instructors.
You will also get information on textbook packages......MY ADVICE ( for those who arent rich) buy your textbooks used, if possible. I got called the first day of class so I had no choice but to buy the 1st semester package and it was like 500, maybe more. Had I had enough time to prepare, I would have bought them on ebay or amazon.
Oh, and your scrub colors are hunter green

you have to pay for everything... All you have to do is show that the background/fingerprinting has been started and sent that part to KL. Then at orientation, take the "blue card" for the BON and turn it in unless you get it before .

Oh wow! Sounds intense but I'm so ready for it!!! Thank you for all the info! Was it difficult for you to find work after graduation or are you working on your RN?
