Weatherford College Fall 2012 start

Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!

Christy I am hoping your letter comes tomorrow! Here is a little encouragement; we had people all the up to the day of orientation get in, there was like 4! They almost went through the entire 20 person alternate list. There were several who got passed over because they didn't show up to orientation. So, alternate or not...go to orientation!

Do we register for classes like everyone else at WC or are we automatically registered once we pay for classes?

You cannot register for classes until orientation (thats what it says in the packet) because orientation is mandatory. I thought there was one other thing required before registering, maybe the BON approval, I will have to read the packet again. You also have to do the transcript review which might be the think i am thinking of, before registration. I think you have to pay for classes by the first week in August this year, WC has a payment plan where I think they break it into 3 or 4 payments, but the most expensive portion is books and there is no help there. I wish orientation was sooner because that only gives us 1 month to purchase books instead of over a few months. Spring 2012 3 months to prepare after orientation. I have the lists for books from last sememster but I am not sure they will be the same. You can go ahead and buy your shoes, scrubs, stethoscope.

They don't care what kind you buy, its up to you except it has to be duel heads. I bought a litmann and I love it.

I guess I should actually read the whole packet. LOL!

When I give my acceptance form, fingerprint receipt and transcript review to KL I'll see what she can suggest as far as getting a head start on things like text books etc.

I am going to get all tests and registration for drug screen done asap too.
