Weatherford College Fall 2012 start

Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!

PS I have been taking my pre reqs at TCC.

One more questions...I have read, read, and re-read the material, but do we just send the receipt that we can print off from paying for our fingerprints in, or are they looking for one that they will give us at the time of fingerprinting...I am a worry-wart by nature...or can you tell!

When you get your fingerprints done, they print you out a receipt of completion, that is what you turn in. For the drug test, when you pay online, there is a receipt that you can print. This is so exciting!! Let me know if she gives you any idea if we can begin purchasing books and stuff. I know the scrubs are around $45 a pair at the scrub shop next to WC. There is only one shirt option and the pants can either be elastic or drawstring but other than that you can't really choose anything else, the brand is Laundau.

Thanks Simcr. I am paying for the drug test today and getting the fingerprints done today as well. I will probably turn everything in on Thurs. Let you all know what KL says about text books etc.

Simcr, so the scrub shop has Weatherford scrub requirement on file? If that's the case I am thinking of going there, getting the style numbers and ordering on line.

Yes, they can tell you exactly what you need, just make sure it is not changing for the semester. They are totally ugly! Ask the guy at the desk and he will show you. That shop also has a brand of stethoscopes that are made to be like the ltman light that are inexpensive. Don't buy a litman from him if you want one, because they are more expensive than going online.

Hey, I just got in from school and nothing in my box again just called KL's at lunch till 215 so more waiting over here. I'll let y'all know once ii get ahold of her!

Finally she responded said they were all mailed last Thursday. She confirmedy my address and said I should be looking for 9x12 envelope! (that means its good right?) so if I don't get by end of week she will remail. I just wanna go get it, sick of waiting!

That is good news, because that means exceptance or alternate, otherwise I think they come in smaller envelopes. I wish she would have just gave you the news so you wouldn't be waiting. Lets hope for tomorrow

Yes I would love to get started on the list of stuff todo. I called her back to see if i could pick it up, she said please wait till Friday she doesnt have anymore packets put together and shes swamped. I'm just super thrilled that my app wasn't lost!

Simcr, did you say that you had bought the Litmann lightweight stethescope? Is in the one with the teardrop shaped dual head?

Idslees, I bought the littman classic SE, I would suggest going to a store that has both the classic and the lightweight so you can feel them and use them to make your decision. For me the light didn't feel good in my hands, like it was plastic. Everyone is different so you may like something else. Definately don't buy online until you find which one you want, so go to a scrub store look and feel the stethascopes and see which one fits you.
