Weatherford College Fall 2012 start

Published

Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!

PS I have been taking my pre reqs at TCC.

Yeah I didn't think about wise county and she didn't clarify that in the email. Don't want to bother her though, so here's to hoping we get in anyways!

if you get alternate, does it come in a big envelope too?? R they sent out at the same time?

Wow I just checked my mail and when I saw a small regular envelope from WC my heart sank, but it's ok, it's ok it was just from financial aid! Lol

LOL Christy...as I started reading your post, I got goosebumps!! We are a sad lot right now aren't we??

Yes, alternate and acceptance are in the same type of package because it contains all the info also. As an alternate, you still have to complete some of the tasks by a deadline that way if they call you, you have some stuff completed. Last time mine came in a 8x11 folder. I don't know what the rejection letters come in... If they go out by the 5th, then hopefully we will have letters by Friday/Saturday of next week!!!! Thats not that long ;)

So if it's a big enevelope...we open....and p-e-e-e-ek to see the results!

I am a little bummed that there were so many applicants so our odds are not as great. But at least we have a more realistic idea of what to expect. I say never trust rumors and go straight to KL if you want the scoop.

Actually, it's a good thing there were so many applicants; it shows that WC is a sought after program. I would be proud just to be an alternate. It's competitive getting in to a nursing school in this region. Hopefully the Wise Campus will provide more opportunities for those wanting a career in nursing.

When I hear from WC you guys will be the first to know. Thank you for sharing with me.

PS. anyone know about the TCC program?

Kalt, I know you will make it into the program with 17 points!!! Read through the post from last fall, 16pts made it in off the alternate list. Maybe you can ask KL what the high points seem to be, she may say, but Im not sure.

I was looking at the posts from last fall...everyone had found out that letters wouldn't be going out until after the first...so they had decided that they wouldn't be getting their letters until later than expected. SURPRISE they were in their mailboxes on April 1st!! Here's to hoping that this year is close to the same!

Kalt, I agree...I think you have an excellent chance with your score. We both have 17's, but your overall score is higher than mine!

did any of yall apply to wise county also or anywhere else?? Me just the main wc campus and TCC. Corrina, whatcha wanna know about TCC? MY first choice I thought for sure was TCC because of, its closer, cheaper, newer. But i really don't know which one I would choose if given the choice. WC seems to be more laid back, the staff seems nicer, and the classes are smaller (familyish). So any

ways I would be happy either way. I wish you could shadow both nursing students. LOL

I applied to Wise County also.
