Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!
PS I have been taking my pre reqs at TCC.
Gotcha 123. Thanks for clarifying. By the way, a big congrats to you for being accepted into both programs! Must feel good. I was going to wait to apply this Summer when I would have completed all sciences but a friend who just got accepted for this Spring inspired me. She was an alternate and got a spot when someone else pulled out! I thought I'd give it a go but am prepared to have to reapply if need be. Wish me luck!
I am nervous about this TEAS! I thought I would at least do okay on grammar and science. I find it hard to get anything over an 85% on each section. I thought I would be better off with all the hard work I put into my courses. I feel clueless! I started going through the manual page by page today. (I was at work so I did studying on my breaks.) I have all day Mon through Wed to study. Taking the test this Thurs. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....hope I survive!
Sorry Jess. I don't know why I typed fall. I got accepted into the spring for both programs. I start in a few days. Good luck on the TEAS for all of you. It is pretty tough but just remember that it is tough for everyone. Look at the national average when you get done. Don't beat your self up if you don't get an A. I got a 80 the first time I took it an and 88 the second time. Know who vs whom know lie vs lay know your subject verb agreement well on the grammar. Read the parts of the book that you think you know. I can't remember ever hearing of a histogram before I took the test. Guess I missed that day in math. Idk. I think 16 - 17 points will get you into the program.
oh okay, congrats again on starting school soon student 213! i bet you are so excited! and... thank you for the teas support, it really is a tough test. she said 18 or 19 points normally gets in, but im hoping its a lot lower this time because everyone i talk to is having a hard time with it. how many points did you have since you got accepted? i know spring is harder to get in, but its still nice to know :)
and...kalten i bet you will do great! don't worry too much, you are studying as much as you can! just know that when you take the test its the best you could do. While taking the test be aware, be aware of what you are struggling on, what is taking you the most time, what you are hesitant about. Then once you are home and its fresh on your mind look up that stuff, take notes, and try again if your score isn't where you want it! thats what im trying to do and i hope it works for both of us! and... yes, i was confident on my reading, grammar, and science as well and so when i took the test i was completely caught off guard. so review everything, even if you think you know it! also look around here on the site, there are plenty of tips!
