Weatherford College Fall 2012 start

Published

Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!

PS I have been taking my pre reqs at TCC.

I turned in my application today also!! Last time around, the week before application deadline I was told they did not even have enought to fill a class yet, but the last week they got tons of applications. I am sure that will happen again, I waited but I was trying to decide whether to take the TEAS test again or not. Now we just need to wait :) hopefully they come out as fast as last fall app period, people got their letters on April 1, it took about a month for spring apps to, so hopefully we won't have to wait long.

Yahoo Christy!!!!! I sure hope I get in. Found out I won't qualify for Pell anymore. So I guess I will have to work as much and as long as I can. Anyone know of good health insurance? We were on JPS this last year now we won't qualify....I know we need major medical in nursing school so I am at a loss.

I hope we all get in!!!!!! Feel like we are old friends already.

Corrina, I don't know of a good insurance, but if you go on the tcc website nursing program and under post admission requirements it list several companies.

I know they gave us info on insurance at orientation for WC, if you want to get a heads up, you could call KL. I am sure she would give you the info so you can check into it. I know for spring the orientation was in October and they had 3 months to prepare, for fall they had their orientation in July I think, that is not much time to prepare :)

Thanks guys. I don't even know if I will make it into Fall and I am worrying about things like tuition and insurance! Just want to be prepared I guess. Thank you for the help. God Bless!

One week. Then the wait .... Wonder if we can find out how many applicants got 23 points or what the highest point total was. Anxious I guess.

hey guys, been a while since i've commented, good luck to all of yall!!! seems like yall are getting in!!! yall have great scores! i just took my second attempt at the teas test today... i now have 15 points. looks like i wont be getting into the program... im really upset, but just tying to keep my head high for other opportunities.

Jessnicole, don't give up! You have worked too hard to give up before the end!! Corrina I'm right there with you, no grants for me, so I'm socking away like a little squirrel just in case I get in. Do you know if we'll be able to pay by the semester? Surely, we won't have to pay for the entire program at once....yikes! Oh, and a friend turned in her application today, and was told that as of now, 17's are still looking pretty good!!

There you are Jess! So glad your back. Idslees is right, don't give up. That Test is a stinker. Idslees, thanks for the info on the 17s. Sure hope we make it. I hope we only pay by semester. I couldn't afford it all at once. Like you I am saving as we speak! I will have to work next Fall nursing school or not.

thanks guys! im trying to stay positive, its just so hard... i tried my best and it wasnt good enough. Im not sure what i will do exactly, but i think i might try the lvn program. I have enough points for the radiology, and i already applied so i know i will get in that for sure. I just like the versatility of nursing, and the hands on of caring for others. I just gotta leave it in the lords hands i guess! i tried my best and thats all i can do.

Hey guys, you pay by the semester just like normal classes, weatherford also has a payment plan where you pay over a couple months, I am sure you can call and get info. I can't wait until April!
