Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!
PS I have been taking my pre reqs at TCC.
Hey Jess, from what others say on the forum it will probably be beginning of April when we get letters. Did you actually apply for the ADN? I would because you just never know. Great you turned in the application for Radiology but if nursing is your dream I would stick to that.
If you have to wait another semester to reapply why don't you chip away at some of the courses you will need for your bachelors in the Fall. I plan on that if I don't get in this time. Getting those courses out of the way will allow you to enter UTA's RN to BSN bridge program after you get your ADN. It takes about 2 semesters to complete.
LVN's are still important in healthcare but I would not invest in that if you want a degree in nursing. Just my 2 cents.
Thank you Simcr. I figured they would'nt expect you to pay in full, especially since we are evaluated each semester. By the way, I think you are a shoe in for the program with 18! That's awesome!!!!!
Good Luck everyone!!!
im applying tuesday! i forgot my shot record last week so im cutting it close :) haha and... yes, that is what i thought i might do, is finish up my classes i need for the uta rn to bsn program if i didnt do the other programs! so we thought the same! i really dont want to do radiology because from what ive seen there arent many jobs and not very hands on. thank you for being positive! it makes me feel better!!!
I understand, and it seems like gas is constantly going up! Make sure and ask questions when you drop off your application, there are only 3 days left to turn them in, so she should have an idea about how many have applied so far. I am hoping that with the new campus, that will take away the people that apply from areas around decatur, bridgeport, etc and will maybe help out :) I will keep hoping for us all to make it in! haha... then i will keep hoping that we all survive the program!
