Weatherford College fall 2014 adn applicants

Published

I am applying for WC this Dec/Jan for fall 2014 Rn program. I am going to re-take my teas this month to hopefully improve my score. If I get in I will be driving from Hurst. Hopefully it won't be too bad of a drive.

6 weeks after the deadline for submissions - so for the fall class of 14'- that would be around the 2nd week of April!

*FYI*

The WC Wise County campus is having an informational session on the RN & LVN-RN programs on January 15th from 12-1pm. The information is posted on the WCWC Facebook page.

I will be applying also. My husband is in the Air Force and we just found out two weeks ago we are moving to Ft Worth in March so I'm scrambling to get everything done in time. How many students do they usually accept?

Alilybug, Are you going to the info session? I wish I could go but im working. If anyone decides to go let us know what you learn.

I don't think I will be able to make it. I am taking some classes that I will need for my BSN in the up coming semester and have a class at 12:30 that day. I spoke to Carin Adams and she told me to get with Karen Long and she would help me through the application process.

Yes KL is very helpful. Oh well maybe someone else will end up going.

A classmate of mine ended up going to the information session but did not get to stay for the whole meeting though. She did find out that the BSN track classes I am currently taking will be counted towards that total for the extra points (yeah! :woot: 2 extra points for me since with them, I have 19 hours towards my BSN). That was the only real question I had left to ask. She also said they advise applicants to go to the main campus with your application when it is time and KL will go over it with you to make sure everything is in order. I will be doing this for sure. Lastly, they also said the average applicant has points in the 20's range before the TEAS so DON'T GIVE UP if you didn't make all A's. It is still totally possible you will get a spot. Did anybody else make it to the session? Was there any other information I misses while analyzing poetry()in English?

That sounds great about the average applicant have points in the 20's range before the teas. i think I may have a shot. So how many points do you think you have with this new information?

I misstated before when I said 2 extra points. It's actually 3 points for 15-24 BSN track courses. That leaves me at 35 points before the TEAS.

I am also applying for the fall program. Based on my calculations, I should have 29 points before TEAS scores, but I am going to get with Karen to verify it. I am really nervous. This is my first semester applying and I too will be driving from Keller. Hoping these scores are enough!!

When are you planning to take the TEAS?

Next Wednesday, the 29th
