We just bought a little car that gets 30mpg to help with the gas cost. We are also selling our minivan to save $500 a month in payment/insurance Doing this since I will be working less hours.

Sunday I went to the scrub shop and tried on the Landau Red scrubs to see what size I wore. Now I can order online when its time or when I find a sale. I also bought a storage clipboard for clinicals. I know, a little eager huh? Haha. I am excited to be working on my list also!! I have to choose my shift for work right now that will last until Oct. I wish I new what kind of schedule we will have. I

I faxed my acceptance letter and mailed it on Sunday. KL sent me an email stating she received my fax for acceptance. I also payed for my drug test and emailed that receipt. I guess I'm going to work on my varicella titer. That is the only vaccince I had left. I had chicken pox as a child so I hope my titer shows positive. Otherwise I pay for the titer and then pay for 2 shots.

Yay! I am so excited. I received my acceptance packet today:) I had 38 points.

I was reading on other posts and people talk about receiving a blue card after they got their background check and fingerprints. Is this blue card in an envelope or like a post card? Does it look like junk mail? I don't want to miss it.

I was reading on past posts and one year they got their letters on Apr 1st and another year they got them on Apr 6th. We could possibly find out in the next 2 weeks. yay.

I know. I am trying not to think about it too much. I did get my final Hep A, Hep B, and MMR yesterday. I am excited to get that over with.

Yay. That makes me so excited to hear very few apps are over 40 points. I'm glad the app period is over now and we can start the count down. Just going to focus on work and kids and maybe the time will go by fast.

RockellPoshell, I emailed KL today and asked if my 38 points looked ok. She said it looks good right now, but she will be getting more apps in this week and it could change. She said with my points if I don't have enough to get in I should be at the top of alternates and that they use a lot of alternates. She also said since I am applying to both Weatherford and Wise County that I have a good chance since Wise county has fewer apps and that it takes lower points to get into Wise County. So I am very hopefull. I think you have a great chance of getting in too. Did you apply to both campuses also? I don't want to drive to Wise County but I will if I have to.

Aroww33, I have the classes to go straight for my BSN and have applied 2 times to UTA and TWU. I have a 3.7 and you basically have to have a 3.9 or 4.0 to get into these schools. TWU had 800 applicants and 200 spots between Houston and Dallas. If you have a 4.0 gpa I would recommend going straight for your BSN. I have already repeated a few classes to raise my GPA to the 3.7. I have been going to school for 9 years now and am just ready to get in somewhere. My sciences will be expiring also after this application period. I feel like my only chance is to get in now and then immediately do the online bridge to the BSN program. There so many others in the same shoes as me and nursing school is just so difficult to get into with all the applicants and not enough spots in the nursing programs around here. WC has partnerships with other schools for the BSN bridge and so I think that is why they have extra points for the BSN classes. All I can say is this has been a long journey. Good luck!

So did you turn in your app? Were you able to talk to KL? How many points did you end up with? I am getting excited that it is finally time for the application period to be over. I am ready to find out if we get in.

That sounds great about the average applicant have points in the 20's range before the teas. i think I may have a shot. So how many points do you think you have with this new information?
