Weatherford College fall 2014 adn applicants

I am applying for WC this Dec/Jan for fall 2014 Rn program. I am going to re-take my teas this month to hopefully improve my score. If I get in I will be driving from Hurst. Hopefully it won't be too bad of a drive.

I have to get another Measles booster since mine was equivocal and that sucks because it burns like a *****. I also faxed my acceptance in today and received a preemptive email back from KL letting me know she had it. I haven't signed up for the drug screening but I did make an appointment for fingerprinting this Thursday in Denton. I'm so excited to be working on the list! :woot:

Sunday I went to the scrub shop and tried on the Landau Red scrubs to see what size I wore. Now I can order online when its time or when I find a sale. I also bought a storage clipboard for clinicals. I know, a little eager huh? Haha. I am excited to be working on my list also!!

I have to choose my shift for work right now that will last until Oct. I wish I new what kind of schedule we will have.

Silly question but did you have a titer for all your vaccines? Of course I had MMR when I was in school which was a very long time ago :) (I'm 33). I also had a DTAP when my daughter was one but I think it was through Walgreens or something like that which I don't have record of. Do we have to get titer for all the vaccines or if we've had them once we are good?

I do have a titer for Hep B.

You'll need a titer for any of them you don't have a record of. I'm also 33 so I only had a Tdap record and nothing else. I'd get on that right away though because measles requires 2 boosters at least a month apart.

Just faxed my acceptance letter to KL and received confirmation and have my fingerprints set up for tomorrow!! Now it's time to go through the rest of this book of paperwork!!

Okay thank you! I guess I can just go to my regular physician to get the bloodwork. I will make that appointment today. This weekend I will register for my fingerprints and pay for the drug test. Anyone else going to go ahead and purchase their stethoscope? I don't know what else we will need. I don't want all this expense to hit me at once!

No I'm going to Arlington tomorrow at 320 unfortunately :/ it was the only thing that was open when I signed up for it though for Thursday in my time frame because I don't get off work until 230!! Has anybody set up their drug test yet too?

Hi guys!!! I was accepted at WCWC. I am going to order my stethoscope soon! I'm way too excited, so that means I'll be ready by the beginning of May!
