Weatherford College ADN or LVN spring 2016

Published

Anyone applying for spring 2016? I know its still early but just wanted to get a feel for "competitive points" since the system has changed within the last year. I only have 26 for ADN so I don't know if I will make the cut. Plan B is to apply to LVN because I would have about 12 of their required points then do the transition program (LVN to ADN). So ready to start taking nursing classes! Good luck to everyone!

Hey! Glad someone has already started a thread. I will be applying at the end of the fall term once I've completed more pre-reqs. Once I finish these classes and take my teas I hope to sit a little over 30 maybe 32-34

So you will actually be applying for the fall 2016 program then right? Cut offs for the spring ADN is July 31st according to the website

Oh yea you're right lol I didn't notice that sorry hehe

Hey everyone! I'm new to this all nurses...found it by googling lol. So I'm at like 28 points and haven't taken the teas yet. Eek. Wondering if I should do more of the BSN classes or try for LVN...any opinions? Is it easier to get into LVN and then to RN or do yall think its about the same? Times running out and I don't know what to do!!! Haha

So have you already applied? Ill

have to apply to fall 2016 or LVN. Curious about these damn points?!

well I am super nervous about the point system now. According to previous threads from previous semesters, my total is very low :(

That's what I was thinking but someone said the point system changed over the years. I still don't have close to 40 or even high 30's yet. Still have to take the TEAs but that sounds scary according to a lot of people. I hate that it's so competetive.

I applied for both programs.. points were around 28, the TEAS test was killer for me (even taking it twice I scored about the same which was low.. Above national average but still LOW!) I applied to both because even if I take the LVN route I can still proceed to ADN. I'm ready to start taking nursing classes and get out of these pre/co reqs. I think from reading different forums straight ADN is more competitive than LVN and LVN bridge to ADN. Good luck everyone and don't give up!

I applied for spring '16 ADN with 37 points.

I'm a little late to this chat... I should have 35. I had been reading the chat link for fall 2015, someone got in as an alternate with 25 points but sping classes only have 25 spots instead of 35. If that is any help or stress release...
