Hi everyone. Just wanted to start a post for the 2015 Associates degree of Nursing Fall program at Weatherford College and see who else will be applying!
I have 31 points before my TEAS. I probably wont be taking it for a couple more months. I've finished all of my pre and co requisites and have my 15 hours of BSN credits so I'm super excited to finally be able to apply :)
I wonder what the point cut off will be this semester? I'm hoping to get at least 6 points off my TEAS but 8 would be great! Comment if you're applying this upcoming semester! Cant wait!
I am on the TCC board too this application period and just saw that they will find out soon and by EMAIL! That surprised me. I just assumed all schools sent letters. Learn something new every day. At least when waiting on a letter you get some exercise going back and fourth to the mailbox :)
Good luck with tcc!!! Wford is your top choice though?
And I think your right. I'm sure they already know who will get in and what the Cut off is but I guess that they want it to be fair and keep it quiet until the letters go out. Plus if someone doesn't pass their background checks and what not.
what does the BON look for? How long could it possibly take? I thought the CBC is through DPS

I myself applied to both WC and WCWC campuses with the WCWC campus being my first choice! I currently live in Keller so it really doesn't matter which campus I get into as long as I get in!! Was an alternate at the Wise County Campus last Fall and thought it was a nice looking campus and everybody seemed really friendly!! My girlfriend also applied to both campuses with myself as well. Yeah I'm glad we do have a little more information today and hopefully they do go out at the beginning of May!! Yeah I'm pretty sure they do already know who got in and who's an alternate and what the bubble is but are not allowed to say because they want to be fair and like was said just in case somebody doesn't pass their background!! Maybe I'm being a little too optimistic but I've already started talking to my manager about adjusting my work schedule come August and pretty much already have that set haha!! Have to think positive!!!
How many points did your girlfriend have? I'm trying to get an idea of what the point range is... I heard someone in the library saying that they had 34, and I have a friend who has 32, and when I was in kls office the other day I say an application that had 31 circled on it... (I know I'm creeper but I like to be informed lol!) It seems like the points are all over the place. Last semester there were tons of 35s and 34s, but it's all messed up this semester..

This is directly from KL today.
Letters will go out around mid-May at the latest. The director just began looking at the applications this week. My next step is to submit names to the BON and they take a minimum of 10 business days before they usually give me the OK to send out letters. Sometimes the BON takes longer than 10 days to get back to me with the OK.
Thank you,
