Normally I would wear mine in a bun or ponytail or side ponytail. From years of doing this tho I have major breakage esp around my forehead, which sucks because you then get those breakage flyaways. .

Why not use a plastic claw clip, a spin pin, bun cage, or pony poof?

I wear mine in a ponytail or a messy bun because I can never get it right--and it wouldn't stay neat anyway! Usually hairspray to keep my "baby bangs" laying flat.

I do get up early to put on makeup, but that also gives me the chance to have a cup of coffee too, and I try to read my Bible. God knows I need the strength to get through my day! Plus, I like not rolling out of bed and heading straight to work.

As for shoes, I have always loved Nike. I buy walking shoes. There is a company called Shoes For Crews that have really good non-slip soles, you almost *can't* slip. I've had them and they do pretty good. That's all my husband will wear to work. ShoesForCrews.com

Blow dried and down (if ive got time), Jaw clip, pony, or bun.

Right now I'm wearing Asics running shoes, but only cuz im trying to break them in! It is prime for running here in Boston. But they are very comfy for all around wear.

Unfortunately I have thin hair, believe me I tried lol. They dont stay securely in my hair :(

This brings up a good question -- what about perfume? We were informed during CNA class to never wear any scents or perfumes because it can cause allergic reactions in people with weak immune systems. I'm pretty much ignoring that advice and I spray on a little 'Tabu' before work because I really like the scent, it's an old classic. Some of my people remark that I smell nice when I'm giving them care, so far none of them who have allergies have keeled over or anything.

When I worked at the hospital, perfumes were a total no go.

At my current facility, honestly no one cares as long as you haven't bathed in it.

Oh my... yeah... def wearing my hair completely UP!

I HATE it when my coworkers wear perfume. It gives me a major headache.

i wear my hair down (shoulder-length) 50% of the time. sometimes i even make some attempt to style it (albeit to curl my bangs back). i know...foolish and insanitary...but for me it's a mark of defiance...i might meet unsympathetic management, demeaning nurses and coworkers, workplace gossip, be verbally or physically attacked by mentally-impaired residents, and hard-pressed by state standards, but i refuse to let these things get to me and show up in my personal appearance.

I wear my hair up.. always. My hair is pretty long and there's no way I would wear it down at work.

I wore my hair in pigtails yesterday and it drove me nuts...everyone who walked by me said "aww!" and tugged them.

I have a Victoria Beckham Bob haircut but, sometimes I don't think my bangs are short enough when I have to put my head down, they sill get in the way.
