OK, we got in, but now what? I am a detail orientated person and I want info! When can I start picking up things I need? What are those items?
I have really lost it! I went from thinking about getting in to wondering what to do/what to read/what to buy before class starts.
And how big of a backpack do we REALLY need?
Anybody out there from CLC have any advice? Help me before my family moves out of the house permanently (wait...maybe that would be a good thing:devil:)!
Rolling backpacks on sale...

Congratulations All!! I got in section 1 but it was a awful morning. I was all ready to register and at 8am I was on and it wouldn't let me!!!! I had a hold that was not there 2 weeks ago-the last time I checked for any holds. It was from the business office-my immunizations charges that I hadn't even been billed for yet!! So I quickly paid online and had to call to get that hold removed-that took an hour.....I thought for sure that I wouldn't get my class. Thanks to Colleen who called me and was updating me about the status of the class, how many spots were still open. It was horrible, the tears were falling and I was hysterical. My husband just sat and watched...but its over and the lesson is learned....pay for immunizations even before being billed if its close to registration.
Hey, I want to join your club, Diedre, I am still checking my class to make sure it really went through. I just want to go out and buy all of my supplies and bag etc, but, I have to wait until after xmas, my family wants to buy me lots of that stuff for christmas.
Now, I just want the semester to end. A and P seems like it is going so much slower that the first part, it is the neverending class.
Now there is just the orientation to wait for then the start of class, we are doing so much waiting, I hate waiting.
Thanks for the list of books, I will have to really take a look at it. It is so exciting

OMG Heather!!! How horrible...I would have been bawling my eyes out too!!! And my husband would have been sitting there, just watching, not knowing what to do (not that he could do anything). I am so glad you got your section!!!
I checked again this morning - it's still there!

YIKES! Did any of you check the books listed for NUR171 Sec 001? On the online bookstore (in addition to many other required and optional books) it shows the Nursing 171 Bundle for $846.59 !!!!
WOW! I had heard people talk about "The Bundle" before, but didn't know it would COST such a bundle!!
Can this be right?????
Oh boy. Hmmm... Do you happen to recall what all is included in this bundle? When I was in Micro this past summer a couple of girls that had just finished their first year of the program had to purchase a new packet of photocopied documents for their next semester in the program (I think it was about as thick as a text book, but not bound). Surely that isn't what we pay over $800 for, is it?!?
I'm wondering about that bundle, too. Before the list of Spring books came out, I printed out the required books for the Fall semester. They totalled $894.75. So, I can only guess this Spring Bundle is ALL the books (required & optional) -like the Potter & Perry, Nursing Drug 2008, and all the rest)...
OK, so I just checked again (exact same spot as I looked at yesterday), and now it says the Nur171 bundle is $634.94.Maybe the price will keep going down? One can only hope!!!
Hmmmm...that would be nice...the longer you wait, the cheaper it is? LOL I'll have to check it out. Wow!! I better start saving my $$ now!!!
If I don't get on again before tomorrow, I hope everyone has a GREAT Thanksgiving!!!

Nope, I did it too...I'm still checking throughout the day just to make sure it's still there.
clcstudent...wow!!! 5 minutes!!! That is crazy!!! Maybe people realize then that it is important to sign up immediately!!! Not sure first year students realize that, but I knew!!!
