  1. Hi. I just took the nclex today (8-22-09) and plan on paying the $7.95 to get the quick results. What is the user name and password the results site is asking for? Thanks in advance.
  2. I did just graduate and I'm looking for part-time only evenings. I have a 2nd interview tomorrow for the Kenosha campus. It's a 30 min. drive from where I live. There's not alot of traffic on the country roads either. With the shift differential the pay isn't bad. If you don't mind my asking what is the pay for new grads at Condell? Shift differentials??? I'm pretty excited to start!
  3. Nursing chick - did you and/or your husband ever start at uhs??
  4. Are you currently working in Wisc.? If so, where?
  5. hi vega, it's clcstudent...i'm graduating in a few weeks. can i talk to you about what i need to do to get the temp license in wisconsin? i have an interest in working in wisconsin. thanks.
  6. bluewolf, are you in the st. catherine's nurse intern program? i thought i saw that you posted on wisconsin. i'm in fourth and am considering it. can we talk?
  7. hi from a fourth semester student (starting next tuesday). good luck in 3rd semester. you'll be a totally different nursing student by may...trust me. you learn so much this semester. also, many people who were ahead of us told us the second semester was the toughest. the consensus among my fellow classmates is that third has been the toughest so far. you'll all do great and do everything that you can in clinical...foleys, cleaning wounds, etc...
  8. hi - i can tell you that clc is going to start requiring a cna prior to entering the nursing program. i'm not sure exactly when this will take place but i think before you're planning to attend. good luck. i graduate from clc in may:yeah:
  9. Hi, I'm starting 4th semester in January. Just do what you've been practicing so far. Don't change anything. Things people forgot my 1st semester... ID the patient against the sticker provided or bring whole chart in. Alcohol wipe the pad first put bed down if you raise it wash hands before and after gloves IM sites correctly...we HAD to do VG site but i think you can choose med calculations gave wrong (unscheduled) meds documentation just things i can think of off hand... AGAIN, ANYONE HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT THIRD SEMESTER PE??????
  10. Does anyone have any heads up regarding the 3rd semester PE? Which skills are NOT on the PE? Does everyone have to do insulin, IVPB??? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I too would like to know about RN employment in the Duluth area -Cloquet, Moose Lake and of course Duluth and it's close neighboring towns. We live in the Chicago area but would love to relocate to this beautiful and less insane area. Any info. would be appreciated.
  12. Micci, when did you take Fleming for Micro? I had her this past spring at night.
  13. Hi Ladies, third semester gal here. Glad to see you all made it through and continue to have positive energy. 2nd semester cluster exams are really tough. But you can do it! Each rotation goes quick so absorb as much as possible and "live" in that rotation and don't worry about another one until you get there. Geriatrics and Maternity teachers are both awesome!!! The Peds teacher is new and is also very nice as she worked the lab and was a PE assessor for the 2nd semester people. I'm looking forward to third semester. Any heads up?
  14. i'm not sure what "points" are but clc requires chemistry and biology before starting and a & p, micro, soc., psych, multicult. communications and humanities credits while you're in the program. 90% of the nursing students take all of the classes prior to starting due to the intensity of the actual nursing classes. once you've met your requirements they accept the top 60 nln scores each semester. rumor has it that there are 400 applicants each semester. not sure if it's true but it's very competitive. good luck.
  15. clc's lowest nln score for this semester start was 92
