Is there anyone else on here who is waiting for a response from WCCCD's nursing department? I applied June 30, and am going slightly crazy waiting for my acceptance/denial e-mail! Let's get to know each other, hopefully we'll be classmates!
Nursing everywhere is Difficult. They tell you at Orientation this will be the hardest thing you ever do. You will be soooooooooo happy to see that 75%. Just aim to pass. you get some many things thrown at you, you have no time to do other things, like working! Many students dont worry abut working in the program. it wont be easy to work adn be a full time nursing student.
We had 120 students enter the program, only 63 of us graduated in the end.
You have to study before classes even start.
You cant procrastiante and put things off, if you do then you are already behind and trying to catch up will NOT be easy.
You will have a lot to do, studying for lectures and preparing for your exams, and clicnicals are no fun when you have an assignemt due each week, and those careplans are no fun!!
the program is SOOOOOO Doable if you put ur mind to it. form study groups if you have to.
I know i quit my job when i started and knew that this program was my priority, dedicated every hour to studying and practicing questions. and i was lucky to graduate on time (2 years), without any set backs
Hi!
I have a question regarding WCCCD. I am in the process of deciding whether I want to apply to EMU or WCCCD. I still have a few prereqs to do and I cannot decide where to take them. My question is, if I only take 3 prereqs at WCCCD will I still have a shot? So far I have a 4.0 and healthcare experience. Good luck to you all!

You have to have at least 12 credit hours from WCCCD to apply to the program. When you apply, the only grades they look at are English I, A&P I and II, Microbiology and Psychology. Just try to pick up the 12 credit hours and you should be able to apply. Oh yeah, you have to attend an informational meeting and take the TEAS test. There are other requirements, so I strongly recommend that you attend the meeting as soon as your time permits. Good luck!
