WCCCD Nursing student fall 2014

Published

Hi I'm starting this thread for all those who were accepted to the nursing program at WCCCD fall 2014, or anyone who is currently in the program. We can post any questions or comments leading up to or during the program to help each other out. Good luck evryone!!

Me. Too! Turned mines in the day before the deadline! I called the nursing office to double check, if the need anymore documents , I was pretty sure I didn't but just wanted to clarify with them. They lady said the dean is going over all the documents and she will call if she needs anything else........so far no call, so I guess I'm good! Just waiting on orientation now!

Do not be surprised if you get a call. There was a test we needed that was added after the letters went out AND it takes about a week to come back. The dean will give you time to do it if all of the other test are complete. I did not realize how long all of this would take! I am sure it will be worth it in the end...

What test are you talking about? I didn't get a call yet so hopefully whatever it is I did it

I cannot remember the full name!!! But I think it is spelled methaqualone...

Does anybody know what we need to bring with us to the orientation?

I'm looking at the letter now...it says no kids. Business casual dress code. We pick our classes based on where our name is on sign in sheet. If you do not attend orientation you forfeit your seat in the nursing program. BRING YOUR "A" NUMBER STUDENT I'D AND WCCCD EMAIL ADDRESS

Yea, this is my first time hearing about another drug test being added. But I'm with RN_ra812 hopefully that drug test I did had everything they need!

And did anybody get the nursing handbook yet? They said they were going to email them to us. Hopefully it's not the day before orientation!! Lol

I think maybe since there are so many different 10 panel drug tests that maybe some test for a broader spectrum then others. I know my first even included alcohol (which was not needed, waste of money!!) Then I needed to go back and do methadone, methaqualone and my specific gravity... not to mention the lab tech used the wrong tubes and I had to go back again!!! If you have not been called by now I would not worry. I turned my papers in and was called the very next day. Did ANYONE else at all have to go back and do the methaqualone?

I'm lucky my test included that particular test. It tested for 11 things plus creatinine and specific gravity

Has anyone received their handbook yet? I know that it is to be emailed, but I did not get mine yet...

I have not received the handbook either.

No I didn't get mine but I found this one online I don't if it is outdated though
