Wcccd 2014 fall nursing hopefuls

U.S.A. Michigan

Hi! Everyone, i'm new to the blogging stuff and its my first time writing messages

but i'm also applying for the WCCCD nursing program this month for the fall 2014 semester and i'm super excited!!

i did very well on the Hesi exam, finished all my pre-req at wcccd, have health care experience and several certifications. i cant wait to apply, i wish everyone good luck on being accepted.....i'll keep everyone posted on my journey!!

IT IS VERY FAST PACED!! If you don't have to do somthing, don't do it. I cut my work schedule down to 10 hours per week and it is still hard. I took 2 days off from studying to celebrate a birthday milestone-big mistake!!! This program wil literally be your life from the time you get your acceptance letter from the time the first semester is over. However, it is doable with the right time committment. A few of my friends tried to work almost full-time hours at the same time and almost failed.

soontobenurs_84 what was your schedule like for the first full semester just for a little insight so I wont over exert myself.

thank you also for giving all of us waiting to get in the program a little help with what to expect. and for your essay did you do 2 separate or a combined essay?

Do clinicals start in the first semester? How many days or hours a week are they?

I thought they use the high test gpa from your pre-reqs or your gpa?

I thought they use the gpa from your pre-reqs for the points.

They use the GPA from your pre-reqs and co-reqs if you have those completed

How many hours of studying did you do per day? And what about the exams did the teachers tell you what the exam would be on or do reviews before the test.

Hello everyone I just called the nursing office and the lady said that the "target" date for the mailing of the acceptance letters is next week!!! I just double checking and making sure they didn't change date!!! So good luck to everyone and I hope we all get accepted.

Thanks for letting us know! Does any one know if they send letters to everyone, letting them know either way?

I can't wait I'm beyond nervous!!

I think they do send letters to people letting them know if there accepted or on a waiting list or neither

Thanks for letting us know, I'm so nervous now. Everyone keep us updated on your letters. Good luck

Clinicals start the second 7 1/2 weeks (it's very difficult to make it past the first 7 1/2 weeks)

They look at your gpa with and without co reqs and take the highest gpa.

I don't know how many hours I studied a day but you WILL study EVERY DAY! I graduated last week and I haven't done anything but sleep! I'm just exhausted!!
