WCCCD, Applying for fall 2010

Published

I'm a bit confused with the new system that is put in place to determine GPA and ranking for those applying for fall of 2010. Also, I've been told that the TEAS test will take the place of the NET test. Does anyone have any informationa as to when the application packet will be ready and the breakdown of the new requirements needed to successfully apply for the nursing program. Does anyone know anything about the TEAS test (Is it harder, study guides?). This information will be very helpful.:nuke:

Actually I transferred most of my classes from OCC so I don't think I will get the point but that's the only B I have and one A- so I just wanted my gpa to be a little higher ,..but this new change ruined all my plan (I already took the NET ect... and was ready to apply..) Unfortunately, they came up with this new change................ I can't wait unitl the info meeting to hear more details on the coming change..... Anyways I am right now checking the Eng class online to see if there is an opening and I will do what you said to me, at the same time I will wait, if anyone give me suggestion. :)

Thanks and Good Luck to you too.

The online classes are full so I have one class I registered long ago so I have no choice but sticking to it. I did not want to drive for one class. When I registered I wish I could see the distance learning schedule. They have them at the end of the page. And also there was only two Eng 119 online classes and both classes are closed. :(

Yeah, the WCCCD online classes fill up very quickly (well, most do), so I'm not at all surprised that they're full now. If you don't like the ENG 119 you're in now, you might be able to switch (drop, then register for another) once classes start - most classes have a few places open up (as students drop out of them) once the semester starts. If you're near Western or Downriver, I know of a few decent-to-good Eng 119 instructors there.

I talked with an advisor last semester and found out that WCCCD does not count pluses or minuses. your grade is what it is unless you get a C- wich is less than a C. This is to my advantage... hopefully for you too.

What about if you have (+) like C + or B + ?

What about if you have (+) like C + or B + ?

WCCCD doesn't accept/count + or - grades. To them, an A- is an A, and an A+ is an A. Great for those with lots of - grades, but I imagine it's a disappointment for those with + grades. :\

The Race is on!!! Teas test sessions start next week. From what I've been told there are only 20 seats available per session. I believe there is 9 or 10 sessions for this semester. That means there is only room for 180 to 200 students to test. Wow! It will be interesting to see how all this will play out.

Did anyone take the test already? "The TEAS" I would love to hear from those of you guys already took the test, just to have idea, what to expect from the test and (how many questions, what it includes so on). thanks in advance!

This time I don't want to waste another year. When I finally got a good result in my NET test they changed it. So this time I have to study and revise whatever I have to do to take the test and apply for this coming Fall 2010.

:)

I'll take my test tomorrow. I also registered for another session in Dec ( just in case I fail.) You need to register ASAP before all the seats are taken. You can check on webgate to see whats available. Seats are going fast.

It does not allow me to register for two session anyways you would let us know tomorrow after you took it how everything goes. OK. I register for Dec 2 that can allow me to have time to study. Good Luck!!

actually it is Dec 1st :)
