The school did not give us the list but next room where we order our stuff, they had been handing out a list of paper and some people got it some didn't cause they didn't have enough for everybody I guess. And they said we don't need to get everything on the list so I don't even know what to get. So what I did was I ordered my name badge and patches that the same day. So I will go and get the rest of the stuff... please I need the list of everything that I need please guys let me know. so far 1, stethoscope 2, measuring tape 3, blood pressure monitor 4, bandage scissors 5, light pen 6, ... I know the uniform I don't need it until the second 7 1/2 weeks. But I'm gonna go buy it anyways. Thank you so much cheska_rn2be for your help..... if there is more thing that I need let me know please. Thank!

Cheska_rn2be, Thanks, I don't think if there is any change but I was not sure first what to wear for that class now, I know thanks and Good luck to you too. Alibrahimi, that was my question too, what we need for the first 7.5 weeks. Because I don't think we need all these stethoscope, uniform and the other stuff.....for the first 7.5 weeks. I haven't bought that yet. But I really want to know what we need for the first 7.5 weeks and as well for the second 7.5 weeks, that way we will be ready with everything before class started..... Cheska_rn2be if you remember can you please let us know what we need. Thanks...

hello me2006 and everyone, orentation went okay,... and i did register,... now waiting til class start,... me2006, in your privious post you said "for nur 111-foundations lab and nur 118-physical assessment we need to dress in lab attire" just wanted to make sure because no one mentioned at orientation about nur 118- physical assessment what we should wear or not. or they might but i did not remeber so we need to wear our white t-shrit and sweat for that class too... what else do we need beside that for the first day of class. please let us know that way we can be ready. thanks in advance and schrellnicole & npotter good luck on your finical aid! if anyone has syllables for nur 111 & nur 118, please share them here thanks. and also i went to the bookstore and bought my textbook for nur 118-nurses' handbook of helath assessment (price $52 before tax). the bookstore has the textbook this week.

If you want to do it with Red Cross, they call it Professional Rescuer Course it might be cost $80 I don't know. But the one that I went and did is Basic life Support (CPR) training is offer by American Heart Association. This school that I mentioned earler health education strategies if you google it you can see it add michigan in it, cause it might bring other state as well (they have site and you can see all the classes). It is the same thing, the one that we need, they call it basic life support/healthcare provider course. In my card it says healthcare provider. If you want to save $20, you can go there otherwise it will be fine yours too.

thanks ali, that's what the nurse explained to me, if you are immune to one of the diseases, you don't need the booster. i hope that would be fine to our school. and the same thing, if you already had boosters, you don’t need to do the titers either. for the cpr, i called the school and gave me a phone number (health education strategies) the acceptable school for cpr, i paid $60 and have done with that too. so far it seems, everything going smooth. like ifuturenurse said if you have insurance, you can see your primary doctor if you don’t, you can go anywhere else including the st. john that listed in our attached letter. good luck to everyone!

Thanks Alibrahimi, you are right it's better to drop it at the office :) That's what I was going to do anyways. About your classes, if you like taking online classes, it won't affect your schedule at all, you can do your studying or aassignment anytime you want......think about it, it's a good idea. Good night and Good Luck!

Hey guys, are you guys going to send the acceptance yellowcard by mail or talking it in person. If you guys're going to send it, do we need to put into an envelope? (just to make sure). My other question I think, was asked by Ali Where do we find the book that mentioned in preparation for orientation that we need to read, if you guys have any idea please let us know. And previous year nursing students, please let us know what to expect for the first week or month (what to read and how we should get ready for this program). About the study group, I'm in.:) Thanks all in advance.
