I like you made a list and called with a million questions. LOL! I also signed up for ARC CPR, but I am going July 11 and 13th, otherwise I would join you.

Where is the one that's July 11 & 13? I'm guessing you live outside of the zip code I put in (which is 48081). I would so love to get it done and over with before orientation. Oh well.

Has anyone heard about another mandatory meeting day in August? When I called I asked about the days in July and if that would be all before classes started (the hubs and I want to go to Vegas before the craziness begins) and I was told that there is also a mandatory day in August yet to be determined, but that they would know by the time we go in July.

Yes....you pay by credit card when you sign up.

Once you get your Wayne One card you can load money on it and use it for parking in any parking structure/lot. It costs $3 per entry. Or you also could get a prepaid parking pass for a whole semester (they are about $260-270). That way you can reenter parking structure as many times as you want without paying for it every time. But you will be restricted to one particular structure/lot. If you decide to get a pass (which is kinda nice, you can park in the am then leave for lunch and come back later without paying twice) I recommend you get a pass for Structure #1 (on Palmer St), it's the closest to CoN building.

Do they tell us about this card at orientation? It has been eons since I've been to a school that requires a parking pass and I can't seem to remember what to do to get one! ACK! It's like I'm a Freshman all over again and am totally lost on the whole college experience! :jester:

No worries!

They might mention One card, but as you're already admitted, it means you are now officially Wayne State student and it's your responsibility to get it. You have to go to the Welcome center and they will direct you from there. It's free of charge and takes only few minutes. You can ask about parking pass while there, I think they sell it at the same office. Then when you log on to your Pipeline, you can access your One Card Account and transfer funds into it. The card can be used anywhere on campus (buying food or even making copies at the library), sort of as a debit card. I personally don't have a parking pass, so I put in $15-20 at a time on it and use that for parking.

Hey guys! Are we supposed to get anything in the mail before the orientation? An email maybe? I know that traditional orientation is on July 14-15th. But what time? Is it posted somewhere on the website and I'm missing it somehow? :confused:

I also heard there was a general orientation for all nursing, radio tech, etc. people on August 22. I assuming it is also and all day event.

Hi WMU Grad- I am going to one in Ann Arbor. It's a good 40 minutes from where I live, but I wanted to get it done before orientation too! If you're interested let me know. I haven't heard anything about a day in August, but I did speak to the office today and they said they will be sending us a packet before orientation.
