Wayne State University CD2 Fall 2013

Published

Hey everyone!

I just got an interview invite for this Tuesday. I am so excited, but also very nervous! Any other CD2 applicants out there? I'd love to know how your interviews went! :) This has been a grueling, but rewarding process so far!! :)

I had my interview last week. I have been accepted into UDM so unless I get a nice scholarship from Wayne I am off to UDM. My interview at Wayne was boring and flat. It felt as it the were just reading off questions from a computer and had no passion. Not impressed. My BA was from Wayne and I really want to avoid going back to Wayne. Their administration is absolutely deplorable. i hear that their nursing program is highly rated though.

Hi! I'm on waiting on UDM, just finishing up A&P. would you mind telling me when you were accepted and which semester? I'm getting very anxious. Thanks!

Also, can you tell me what the interview at udm was like? Did they accept you shortly after the interview?

Hi! I'm new to this site. I also applied for Wayne's cd2 program. They told me I would hear back end of June, which can be any day now.

I hope so! I had my interview last Tuesday... not sure if it was the last round of interviews? When was yours?

I know orientation is July 11 - hopefully we can be future classmates! :)

Mine was early may. Any idea if they will sent out acceptances and rejections on the same day or rejections first ? I hope to see you at the orientation :)

I was told that we would find out by June 15 (yesterday) but I haven't heard anything! Probably some day this week. Good luck everyone!

In response to the question about UDM. I was accepted into the fall 2013 cohort. The interview was very friendly and engaging. They really asked a lot of open ended questions, and for the most part we simply talked about nursing. They did ask specifics about preparedness, stress, grades, experience, but mostly it was just a refreshing interview. Honestly it was night and day from Wayne. I felt I learned a lot about UDM from the interview. They let me know 6 days later. Every contact I have had with UDM has been positive. Again night and day from Wayne.

Did any of you get accepted?! I'm on the waitlist for now... really hope I can get in!

I got accepted and I am very excited and thankful! Good luck to you!

Hey Annie,

I tried to respond to your message but I think I was denied because I have not posted enough on this site to have private message privileges. I will try to repeat what I sent:

Wow, that is crappy that undergrad gpa was weighted at all. I feel like I am a completely different person now vs. when I was completing my first degree (MSU - Finance 2006). I had a 3.6 gpa at MSU. I took my nursing prerequisites throughout the last few semesters at Wayne State. My WSU gpa was a 3.77. I felt like my interview went very well. Try to stay positive! I spoke with a friend who was admitted and she is planning to decline in order to attend a school closer to home. So that is a little bit of good news! Obviously we do not know how close you are to the top of the waiting list but hopefully more admits will decide to go elsewhere as well! I have known students in past semesters that were "alternates" and then received GREAT news in early July. I have a good feeling that things will work out well for you. I will keep you in my prayers because I know it must be nerve racking to wait. The fact that you post on this board shows that you really want this and I believe you will be rewarded.
