Just wanted to start a thread where students (previous, current, and future) from the nursing program at Wayland can vent, talk, ask and share ideas and questions. Maybe it can make life easier and less stressful. So share and ask so we can help each other get through school and life somewhat stress-free!!

Or maybe someone has questions about the school and programs. I was originally going to transfer to UTHSCSA from ACCD but this program has less applicants and closer to home. If I would have known about this school sooner I would have not taken classes I took for UTHSCSA that I didn't need for WBU.

OO, yea classes should start in Fall I believe, September to be specific. and wow i ididnt know about the transfer part. well i guess just pray for the best

Fall starts August 19!!! I'm so excited!! Are you talking about the teas test or do you have to do another test for the LVN-BSN?! Well good luck on your test!! You going to orientation?!

O man then school starts earlier than I thought lol. Yea, I have to take an test to show I can do that skills in fundamentals(oxygen admin, catherters, med math...all the fun stuff that I DON"T want to have to take again lol) When is orientation?

I'm excited too! I have to take a test on the 5 and 6th of August for LVN skills competency. If I pass then I get to go in through the LVN-BSN track, or if I don't pass I do in as a regular BSN track. I hope I pass! They haven't told me anything about orientation yet.

Man I forgot how much stuff you have to turn in when going to Nursing school :/. Drug test on Monday, and I didn't even know we had a July deadline for it. Anyone else finished with all of that stuff?

I'm done!! Except for fingerprints!! I did everything that day I got the letter lol. Did u go to that July 11th clinical prep thing?

Gah man I need to do everything pronto! They prep clinical got moved to thursday next week. I scheduled my drug test for monday, where do we do the fingerprints?

The orientation letter they sent last week said the BON hadn't approved our school to do ours yet so we're waiting for emails.

My drug test was walk in at Alamo clinic. They sent me to Concerta I think but when I did a search Alamo came up & it was closer. I think that ImmuniTrax says Monday is the last day. They should give u longer time!!

O, ok, Yea i havent gotten a letter yet, maybe it is just late. Ill check my mail today. well good thing I am getting it done monday then!

I'm doing mine at the Alamo clinic off NW Military because it was closest also. I had chose it because I thought they would be open tommorow but now I can't change it =/ So stupid.

They did mine as a walk in on FM 3009. If its not to far u can prolly do that or just wait till Monday. The orientation letter came first week of July but maybe ur's is different since its the LVN-BSN. It tells u what classes to enroll to LVN is different in numbers then the generic.
