Watts school of nursing - spring 2018

Hey all!

I was wondering how many of you will be applying to Watts for the spring 2018 term. I will be taking my hesi on the 25th of September and then will be submitting the rest of my application when I get my results back. Does this seem like an okay time frame to apply to the January semester?

Any advice is welcomed and much needed!

Congratulations echinny! How long did you apply before you heard from them? I am hoping to get admitted for January 2019 prerequisites and the nursing courses in August 2019.

Thanks! it took around 3 weeks for me since I was told they would make a decision when school starts for them. I'm sure you'll hear back any day now!

So I just scheduled my hesi exam test for watts . Any tips on the test?

Use the book they recommend, and download the HESI pocket prep app, You need to pay, but you have access to about a thousand test questions.

Was the math portion pretty difficult ?

Its hard in the sense that its math you probably haven't done since middle school, and have forgotten, Know everything about fractions, ratios, and conversions.

I take my entrance exam next Saturday and I'm freaking out!! I am trying not to worry, so any words of encouragement would be helpful right now. Thanks!!

Hi Tmonet21, Don't freak out. You still have a few days to study. Just relax. Above all pray. Ask God to help you understand the material while you're studying. Don't over study. Before you enter the test center, take a moment to relax and trust God. Believe me I trusted in Him and I passed on the first try and did better than expected. I'll be praying for you.

Hi All, After a long delay regarding some missing documents, my application is finally going to be reviewed. I almost wanted to give up but I am glad I didn't. I was told that I would hear something as soon as possible. I am glad that next week it will be reviewed. I am excited and I am praying for good news.

Yay!!! I got accepted to Watts! Received the email at 11:46 am this morning. Can't wait to start the prerequisites in January 2019 and nursing courses in August 2019. This is truly one of the happiest days of my life!
