Watts school of nursing - spring 2018

Hey all!

I was wondering how many of you will be applying to Watts for the spring 2018 term. I will be taking my hesi on the 25th of September and then will be submitting the rest of my application when I get my results back. Does this seem like an okay time frame to apply to the January semester?

Any advice is welcomed and much needed!

It's math and English so brush up on your basic algebra and you should be fine. The English is mostly definitions and how to use words in proper context.

Hi everyone I took the HESI on June 23 and I passed with 84% . I am sending my package on Monday 7/30. I will touch base with the coordinator a week from tomorrow and then I have to just wait for the background check form. I hope to get good news by the end of August. I don't mind taking the 19 credits at UMO. It is what it is. I hope to start the prerequisites in January 2019 and start the nursing classes in Fall 2019.

I received an email and call that my application documents have been received from them. I will be informed of any missing items,which I hope is not the case. By the end of this week,I should receive an email link to the criminal background form to do online. I will get it done and submit on the same day I receive it with the fee. Staying in faith. :)

Hello everyone, I received the link for the criminal background check form. I had 48 hours to complete it and pay the fee. I finished it and sent the form along with the fee an hour ago. I'm sure my record is clean. Now it's time to wait again. It looks like everything is going well so far with the process. :)

Good morning everyone. I got the results of my background check. Everything's clean. I sure that my application documents are being sent to the nursing committee for review. Now the wait is happening now.

I'm starting the UMO pre reqs this January, and starting nursing courses at Watts June 2019. Anybody else starting with me? Wondering when we will get a chance to talk to financial aid...

Hi LaurenHRN, I am hoping to start the UMO prereqs in January 2019 and Watts in August 2019. I am waiting to hear the status of my application. How long before you heard you were accepted?

Hi BlueGirl17, II'm pretty sure I found out late May...I want to say I started applying in February? Finished everything in March, and found out I was accepted late May. There was a delay with one of my transcripts. I know waiting can make you anxious but stay positive, it's a process and I'm sure you will hear something soon

Hi LauraHRN! I got accepted into Watts last week for the pre-reqs in Jan and Nursing portion in August, too! I emailed UMO FA office this week, hoping to talk with them soon to get the ball rolling. In the acceptance letter it just said someone would contact me "in the Fall semester sometime". Kind of irritating to not have a date. I think the FAFSA deadline is October 1st too. Excited to start together!
