Watts School of Nursing - May 2014

I passed the HESI and submitted my application. I got a letter back a week letter saying my application was complete. I also received a background check form. I sent it back with the $40 about a week ago. I haven't heard anything since.

Does anyone know if May 2014 is full yet? If I am accepted, I am really hoping to start in May.

I just got an email asking me to come in on Wednesday this week rather than waiting until the 19th! Soo excited to finally be able to meet with MOC and find out what will transfer! Will keep you guys posted on what I decide to take as pre-reqs! It's only a month away and we can all finally get started!!!

Thank you, DJ! My meetings the 13th, but I'm so antsy to find out about my credits and find out what night/s A&P will be, as I think that should be the only one I have to take on campus... Kate, definitely keep us updated!

Still waiting to hear back about my background check :( I sent it in a little over a week ago, so I know it's a little too soon to tell. It's looking like I'll most likely be in the January 2015 class.

Kateaboo I'm not giving up on you yet.....praying for you!

Ok guys! I know we have all been dying to have a few morsels of information about our schedule so this is what I received today from MOC. It looks like I have my first Watts class July 17 - Aug 14th on Thursdays. You can see the rest of our schedule below. I meet with them tomorrow but they sent this to me today, so I can choose 3 electives. Some of my classes from UNC transferred Math, English, Intro to Psych, Religion and History. I am considering the following classes.

ART 110 Art Appreciation

EDU 210 Intro to Education

EDU 250 Education Technology

EDU 265 Health Safety and Nutr for young child

HLH 110 Focus on Health

MUS 250 Music Appreciation

I ruled out all of the Criminal Justice classes and History classes because they don't interest me and I ruled out Intro to biology, microeconomics, intro to old testa, intro to new testa because I have already taken them at UNC.

I just got back from my meeting. I decided to take EDU 210 Intro. to Education 6/9 - 7/13 online. In the Fall 8/25 - 9/28, I am taking EDU 250 online and then 11/3 - 12/7 I am taking Art 110. I wanted to take HLH 110 but they said Watts Nursing students could not take this class because its equivalent to one of Nursing classes. :(

Meetings lasted about 90 min total. There are still 3 spots open for our June class so I'm crossing fingers for those of you who have not heard!

Just talked to ---------- about an hour ago: looks like I won't be in the June class and will be starting in January. I was really looking forward to meeting you gals but I think this might be for the best! I wasn't going to be able to move in time all the way from PA.

It's no worries :) There was an issue with my high school transcript that was delaying things, and it looks like during that delay the last couple of slots were taken.
