I passed the HESI and submitted my application. I got a letter back a week letter saying my application was complete. I also received a background check form. I sent it back with the $40 about a week ago. I haven't heard anything since.
Does anyone know if May 2014 is full yet? If I am accepted, I am really hoping to start in May.
Hi Ladies...I passed the Hesi and I now I have my references and essay complete...I'm just worried that my essay is 2 short or not good enough...Do you think that 2 pages is to short...I'm hoping to have it mailed off Monday morning...Hoping there are still slots in the June class.
Mine is 2.5 pages. If it's concise at 2 pages, don't worry. They didn't put a minimum word requirement or page requirement so you should be fine if you feel you answered all the questions! Others that I have talked to were in the same page range as you and I.
Hey everyone! Glad to hear you are as excited as I am to be accepted by Watts. I will be starting pre-reqs this summer too.
As for the essay, mine was just under 2 pages. I feel that as long as you answer the questions well, the length isn't an issue. Best of luck to all those waiting to hear back! It took me a little over a week, after I sent in the money for the background check.
Also, have you all been contacted by Mount Olive yet about classes?
I am so nervous already and I haven't been accepted yet (just sent it out earlier this week after FINALLY getting my last reference). I'm nervous about the June start date if they're still accepting for the June class... It doesn't give me much time to move (I'm in PA). Guess I better start looking now in preparation!
Hi, I just scheduled a time to take my HESI exam.. I really want to be accepted to Watts for January 2015! I am an excellent test taker, really smart & wrote a great essay. I have good references. However, my previous grades from the past year are horrible due to some family issues.. do you think this will make me get denied?? Has anyone heard of anyone being denied for this before?? Congrats to all who have been accepted, I know you must be excited!
Hi Matt! I'm starting prereqs this summer as well! I was contact by MOC a few weeks ago, and met to set my schedule and talk about financial aid (ughhh) last month, but I know a lot of people who have been accepted still haven't heard from MOC.
The prereqs schedule doesn't seem too bad -- I don't have to take the math or english class because my previous degree covered those (thank goodness no math!), so I'm taking two online classes instead to meet the 18 hour requirement. I can't wait to hear everyone's schedule, though! I'm starting to get really excited!
lcat,
I'm curious since you have already met with MOC what day are they having Anatomy and Physiology? Is it Tuesday nights or Thursday nights? My appt to meet with them is not until May 19th. It seems like a lifetime away. I am like you I know I will have to take some online classes because I have taken all of the other prerequisites from UNC but it's been more than 5 years so I will have to retake Anatomy & Physiology. It will be interesting to see what they accept from my first degree and what they allow me to take or re-take. I'm good either way I'm just hoping Anatomy is taught on Tuesday and not Thursday. I can make it work but I would love to help my girlfriend out on Thursday evenings and have that day be an online class.
It's so exciting that it is getting closer!!! Would you guys be interested in forming a facebook group for our class so we can all stay in touch during our pre-req's?
Looking forward to meeting all of you guys soon!
Diane
I don't meet with MOC until the 21st of May...over a month away! Do you know when the first day of class is in June? Also, let me know which online classes you all take, or which ones sound good to you. I'm down to make a group on facebook. I doubt everyone in our class has an account on here, so facebook will be the easiest for everyone to communicate with.
