Watts School of Nursing admissions test

Published

I'm registered to take the Pre-Admissions (entrance) exam for Watts on April 10th.

Super nervous! Is it hard? Any advice?

--Also, how hard is it to get acceptance into Watts?

Hi BrittyyKitty!

How was the test? I took mine on April 11th! I attended the open house this afternoon and asked about acceptance rates, she just kept saying they look at the whole person.

Definitely not as hard as I thought it would be! I got an 85% overall! :]

I went for a tour and I was told the same thing, which makes me nervous about actually being accepted!

Same with me! I think I freaked out waaayyy too much and over did it on the studying. She said there was still spots open for the June class, so I am going to try and get my application in soon. I'm starting to freakout about the essay, I am currently at a little over 3 pages :/ but dont want to over do it you know

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

Moved to our North Carolina Nursing for best chance of member advice.

Oh gosh, I forgot about the essay!

I hope to get mine all in on Friday. Fingers crossed

Me too! Just have to get 2 more reference forms filled out!

Are you aiming for the June start date or the January start date?

I'm hoping for June, but I'm okay with January if I can't get in June!

As long as I get in, I'm okay! hahahaha

Specializes in Neurology.

I took the HESI A2 this week and am hoping for a Summer start. I should have everything in by Wednesday of next week. It won't crush me if I can't start until January but I am keeping my fingers crossed for June.

Specializes in PACU.

Acceptance to Watts is relatively easy compared to other schools in the area, but once you're in they definitely make you work to stay in I'm told. It's supposedly like nursing school bootcamp orher students have told me and is intense. I'm just finishing up my last 3 classes of prerequisites (done July 9th woohoo!) and I LOVE Watts. I am so glad I made the decision.
