Hi everyone! Im wondering if anyone else here was accepted in to Washington State Universitys DNP-FNP program starting this fall 2024? Looking to maybe connect with others to share our experience with the onboarding process!

Hi!
I also was accepted to WSU DNP-FNP program and would love to connect as we go through the onboarding process! The hybrid nature of the program has me a bit nervous without the natural support of in person classes. Looking forward to starting this fall!

Sure lets connect! I tried sending you a private message on here but its not letting me. Would you like to connect over email or social media? And yes, I agree. I have a friend currently completing the same program and she graduates this year. She says the support is still pretty great, but everyone's experience is different so I guess we will see!
Lets do email! It won't let me PM either.

I would love to hear about your friend completing the program. I have lots of questions haha. The onboarding seems pretty straightforward but it would be nice to have a buddy to work through some of the steps with. Feel free to email me anytime!

Hi! I was also accepted into the Fall '24 start for WSU's DNP-FNP program! Super excited to begin. What progression track have you chosen? 3 year or 4 year?
Hi! Thats exciting, congrats! I chose the 3 year track. I'm hoping to stay full time working for the first year and then when clincals start back down a bit on hours. It was a tough choice, but ultimately I think the 3 year will be a good fit. How about you? Are what campus are you?

Congrats! I'm going to do the 3 year program, and I will be at the Yakima or Tri-Cities Campus!

I also chose the 3 year, mostly in order to qualify for the HRSA Nursing Scholarship application, LOL. I'll be at the Spokane Campus!
I'm super interested to learn more about how clinicals will go, what the shifts look like and the sites offered!

Congrats to you as well! I'm 3 year, too! I'm super excited
Have you guys been able to enroll for classes yet/ received your progression plans? I will be taking 4 this fall; adv patho, information management, evidence-based practice, and scientific inquiry... A little nervous about the amount of work we will have!

I also applied for the HRSA scholarship! WSOS has a similar scholarship for NP students but they only cover up to a certain amount.

I haven't, even though my CastleBranch passport and DNP orientation on Canvas have both been completed for over a month now -_- still waiting for progression plan and to be able to enroll in classes...
Those classes all line up with the sample 3 year progression plan for Fall start online! I'm excited for advanced patho, but everything else sounds pretty dry and paper-heavy, LOL.
I'm nervous about all of the work, too. I'm currently pregnant with a surprise second baby and her due date is August 19th...The start of Fall Semester LOL so yeah that's happening.
OMG Good luck with the scholarship! Have you gotten any updates? Mine just switched from submitted to under review the other day. 🤷♀️

Congrats on the baby! That's exciting, you got this!
Do you have your immunizations up to date on the WSU portal apart from Castle Branch? My hold was lifted and I received an email from the advisors like two days after I completed everything!
My scholarship application says under review as well! Good luck!

Thank you! It will be an adventure I'm sure!
Yep all of that is up to date as well. I hate waiting, LOL. I think the Spokane campus is moving a bit slower since the lady who used to run everything retired just last month 🤷♀️
