Recently my wife ordered uniforms over the internet from Jasco Uniforms.

The very next day when I check my online bank account the charges were discovered in the amount of 3X$19.99 and 1X$29.99.

I called the companies that were listed and they wouldn't help me with the charges. I went to the bank and filled out the forms and about a week later the money was refunded to our account. The charges were to a computer game company and a software company in New York City. It took all morning to accomplish this. I called Jasco about the problem as I have also learned that three other nurses were hit with phony charges to their cards. Jasco really acted like it was no big deal. They took the information and said they would get back to me! Right!

I have all the phone numbers and a contact person with the extension!

My wife just called me and she has learned that another nurse got hit for $700.00

Wow!! Thanks for the warning!

Did you file a police report? It sounds like someone working there is stealing the numbers and should be prosecuted.

A few months ago I had some VERY similar charges on my card from a company called gamefly or something like that.

I have never ordered from Jasco but I did from Salus. There are promotions out there that if people do thing A, B and C by ordering, they get a free game console like a gamecube or playstation and this is what they felt the charges were.

Further information:

A nurse that works with a friend of my wife also had these charges in the amount of $350.00. She ordered them because she saw my wifes uniforms.

Another was a Physical Therapist that works here in town.

No a police report was not filed, they didn't seem to be that interested when called.

If there are three in just my town imagine country wide.

If any of you have this same problem e-mail me and I will give you the number and the extension of the person I talked to.

A similar thing happened to my husband at the end of last year. Only we don't know how they got our information. We had one charge of $1,400 and one for only $9.99. Thank God the card expired shortly after! These are some of the step that we had to take:

1. File a police report for each incident

2. Contact the companies involved (where the charges were made)

3. Contact the credit card company or bank and make a formal dispute against the charges made.

4. Place a fraud alert on your credit reports

5. Obtain copies of your credit report from ALL three consumer reporting companies.

6. Contact the Better Business Bureu(sp?)

7. File a ID theft complaint form with the FTC

The list does go on, but, these are some of the most important steps to take. Oh, and cancell the credit card and have a new one issued. We just cancelled ours and didn't have a new one issued.

Good Luck and thanks for the info. I was just about to order new scrubs for clinicals! Guess I'll go elsewhere now!

happened to me too, when I ordered from Marcus Uniforms. Just about $60. in charges to an online gaming co....started with a "B" but I forget now. The credit card company's fraud dept called me, and I canceled the card and also have to fill out fraud report papers and the cc company is going to track it from there.

Scary stuff.

The day or two after, my husband used our freaking debit card online. I just about blew a gasket at that one.

Wow! I have ordered from them, previously, but not for about a year or so. Fortunately, when I ordered from them ONLINE I didn't have any problems.

This happened to my boyfriends card. It was the same exact charges. It was to a company that made games called "blizzard entertainment". We got his card canceled and he got a new one. But when I went online to look up blizzard entertainmet, I found that it was a real company. People from other countries will try to see if a credit card number works by ordering small items from unsuspecting companies.... when the card works they then go on to use it like crazy. That's how I understood it anyhow.

I haven't experienced this but I know that Blizzard Entertainment is the company that owns World of Warcraft. I have a recurring charge every month for 14.95 for my son's WOW account. Perhaps some of the charges from this were people who tried a free trial and forgot to cancel before the trial ended?

EDIT - Ok..I read the link posted about Blizzard. Wow, I had no idea they were having such a hard time and so many people were having fraudulent charges on their cards. I just checked mine and it's ok! whewwwwww

I've ordered from Jasco in the past & had no problem. Sounds like they're currently having some security issues. Thanks for the warning. I was actually going to order from their site last night, but I opted to go to bed early. :o
