wardrobe help for the preggo nurse!!

Published

O.K. I suppose this is directed at the ladies but there may be a few in touch guys out there as well. I need help. I am almost six months pregnant and am squeezed in my scrubs. What is a girl to do? The local uniform shop where I go looked at me crazy when I asked if they carried maternity scrubs. With my first child I worked home health and wore street clothes so I did not have this problem. Is it better to just buy bigger size scrubs or do they actually make uniforms for pregnant women that may fit better? If anyone has any ideas please let me know!!! Thanks!!

There are a couple of brands that carry maternity scrubs, do a search on the internet. I ended up just buying larger scrubs. I was surprised that there weren't that many choices for maternity scrubs.

Congratulations!

I know that they do make maternity scrubs. I'm bet you can buy them online. You can also check into having a seamstress make some. This is what I did when I was pregnant, as the stores around me didn't carry maternity scrubs.

When I was pregnant I couldn't find any maternity scrubs either. I bought larger size scrubs which worked fine. Unfortunately they still fit but that's another story. I was looking through a scrub catalog the other day though and I did notice a maternity outfit. I think it may have been either Jasco or UA advantage uniform (?).

They do make maternity scrubs the one's with the ties on the back =] I loved wearing them. Anyways, I was able to get them at Scrubs unlimited (store at the mall)

Cherokee makes maternity scrubs.

When I was pregnant I just stayed in the same scrubs I had. They were the ones with the tied waist. They were always huge in the waist but seemed to fit not "horribly" everywhere else.

Of course I kind of was more for the "sloppy scrub look."
