got married in december 2008
failed nclex exam california january 2009
now i want to apply nclex in vermont
i want to use my married name. but it takes time for the commission here in our country to process for a change of name due to marriage ( 6 mos to 1 year) before you can have your new ID. what will i do..i recently get my new passport using my married name..will vermont honor a marriage certificate?.. but my license verification is in my maiden name.

I personally think just process everything under your maiden name and then change to married name once you have everything sorted and passed NCLEX

But when you sit for the NCLEX, wouldn't they require your passport as an ID? Do correct me if I'm wrong though. I have the same case as hers, everything else is still in my maiden name except for my passport. Thanks!
I would contact the test center in the Philippines and ask if them if OK to bring marriage certificate to support passport as proof that you are who you say you are. The BON will more than likely accept marriage license as proof of change of name, If starting application there may be delays if someone not notices difference in names initially.

Yes, Passport is the only identification the Testing Center will honor when you sit for the exam. But I believe you still have your old passport with you under your maiden name. Carry that together with your new passport, then bring marriage certificate.
