Whats up my fellow students
Okay so I was reading one of the threads about pinning/graduation traditions.... so I was saying to myself.. "Self who do you want pinning you on the big day?"
SOoo I was pondering and I decided I want my Husband to pin me. Why you may ask? This guy is going thru H-E double hockey sticks helping me get thru school. I feel it is only right..
So does anyone else feel a family member or instructor or whomever should have the honor of pinning you. Who do you want?
com'on guys lets share
happy:D

I had my pinning ceremony a week ago. I had my husband and children pin me because they deserved the recognition also. They went through the neglect, no clean clothes, messy house, and many mac and cheese dinners while I was in school so I felt they should be the ones to pin me! The kids felt so important!

LOL I was wondering if you could have a "group" pinning...I definately want my son to pin me and my mom and my first nursing (cna instructor) and my current supervisors and a few other folks....make for rather a huge crowd! Oh well plenty of time to narrow down the list.....Does make me realize how lucky I am/we are to have all these fabulous folks supporting us. Sometimes I forget that.

I would like to have my husband do the honors. After 28 years in the military, I have had the honor of pinning new rank on him several times. I think it will be the perfect thing to recognize our change... after following him for so many years, now it's my turn to be the breadwinner, and he'll be following me!

My Mom! We havent always gotten along, and yet she has supported and loved me despite everything I've put her through. We've both made mistakes and still really love each other and are close friends. She is an RN, and has always been truthful about the profession-she has laid out the good and the bad for me so I could make a decision with my eyes wide open when deciding if nursing is for me. She is a giver, and is my #1 inspiration. I want her to pin me, if she can *sniff* there will be lots of tears I bet!

We have to be pinned by our nursing instructors. :-( We don't have a choice. But when we go through the college graduation we get to pick who hoods us. I will definitely pick my husband to do that.

We were not given a choice about who pinned us either. The director of the nursing program pinned us all. Being able to choose would have been nice.

I'm with Sandy. My hubby is in the Navy and I have had the honor of pinning him with several promotions.
UNFORTUNATELY, we have to have an RN pin us. So, one of my professors will be doing it!

We have to have one of our instructors pin us, but we choose who we want... Which I think is nice
